Michigan Thread - all are welcome!

Whenever I hear about seahorses it reminds me of the advertisements on the back of comic(?) books when I was a kid....or maybe those were seamonkeys? :D

I won't buy ground chuck at $2.99 / pound because it is too expensive.

I was at TSC today and a 5-pound bag of meal-worms was on sale for $29.99. Six bucks a pound for chicken treats is a good deal. :he

Busy weekend on the road. Yesterday traveled to Novi to watch Alaina, my granddaughter compete in gymnastics. Today, to Birch Run, to watch her sister, Zoe, compete in cheer. Tomorrow, to Howell for another granddaughter birthday party.
So cold outside. Stay warm....

Raz, maybe that can be your micro farm plan, mealworm rearing
I've looked into both meal-worm and vermiculture farming. The only thing stopping me is the feeding of them. Leftover vegetables are their main feed source and I simply don't eat veggies myself so I wouldn't have any leftovers. I wish I could learn to eat fruits and vegetables.

For meal worms you only need some carrots in summer and apples in winter.
Certainly you could eat a few of those..they both keep pretty well?
I gave up on vermiculture too, for the same reason.
