Today was garbage day, so the fake egg might be gone.

The ones I have are very hard..no way a chicken could break them.

What was the fake egg made of? To discourage pecking a ceramic egg works best, it needs to be very hard, you want them to be uncomfortable when they peck it.

...I wonder if a critter came and cracked the ceramic egg, and has been cracking other eggs...unless the ceramic egg was pushed out and dropped a distance to the floor by a hen and that cracked it.
Based on my experience, the greatest ceramic egg breaking suspects were my egg breaking children. The ceramic eggs only survived one wack on the counter. I wonder if dogs, possums, rats, or ratcoons could crack ceramic eggs open looking for food.

Happy New Year!!!
It's no longer raining, so today is coop refresh and spray day. Fun!
The new kitchen is progressing, but not done, and it's making me crazier than usual.
