Move over here to the snow belt!
I'm never moving again. This is the place where I'll die. And I'll die happy.

The snow will come. Last year we got the biggest snowfalls later. It's just odd that there have only been a couple of dustings so far.
Today was strange...snow falling but it was bright and sunny. Nothing stuck.

I'm supposed to go down to the city tomorrow to pick up my bumpers. But I still haven't got the trailer fixed. Hopefully I can get it repaired on on the road before noon. It's about a 6-7 hour round trip. The weather is predicted to be clear.

We're actually happy to hear there is enough snow back home to get the snowmobiles running.
There is a bush here in the pepper family that gives me oozing welts similar to poison ivy if I'm not very careful. I sure understand why the yard guys down here wear long sleeves and pants even in hot weather. And thank goodness for Zyrtec.

Ah, yes, now it comes back to me.
Hope it heals up well.
seems to be healing well, don't think it will ever be normal looking, but healed up.
CHICKENSTOCK 2019
JUNE 15 10am-3pm
DELTA MILLS PARK, LANSING
WOOOTTT!!!!

Give it some thought. The driving distance can be daunting. But once you get there, the people there are the best people you could ever want to meet. These wonderful people will melt social anxiety away.
Plus, the food is awesome.
Plus we always need help in the annual chicken chase. ;)

I get it, same here. Was kidding ;)

We haven't had much here either..8" back in Nov...then hardly nothing since. The 3" we got the other day has evaporated down to maybe and inch, supposed to stay cold tho, ground is pretty solid.

Ah don't chase chickens...I can hardly walk some days, let alone run

:woot I got my BYC 9 year trophy today!

If it is going to be cold, I rather have snow on the ground.

Hubby had a close call Wednesday. Luckily he was driving the company van. A guy coming from the other way, lost his heavy duty cement mixer trailer (minus the mixer, just the trailer and gear drive for a mixer). The trailer spun around and nailed the back Qrter panel of the company van and then demolished the suv behind him. Luckily he was where he was when it happened, hubs said if he were over a foot, the trailer would have hit him square on. And luckily the guy behind him didn't have a passenger, cause that was the side that got slammed. He was just bruised from his air bag. The driver didn't know he lost it, he arrived back on scene after the cops had arrived. (at least that's what he said).

I hooked up an auto water top off and auto water change system on my seahorse tank last night. I hope I got all the parameters right, or I'm coming home to a flood! This system will do a water change when ever I set it for, from every hour up to every 23 days.. and it will always keep the water evaporation down to a minimum by topping off with RO water 24/7. The down side is that there are 3 big jugs sitting around the tank making it look all cluttered. I'm being very conservative on my settings right now.

I also set up a new skimmer to help remove Nitrates (waste residue).

I'm also making an algae scrubber. It will go in the sump, and it's kinda like a clam, on the inside, it side has an air line/stone, with water flowing over a plastic screen, and on the outside, a light to encourage algae to grow on it, there by keeping it out of the tank and reducing Nitrates, Nitrites and Phosphates. If I can make this thing work it'll save me a few hundred $!

Having seahorses is almost like having a dairy animal. You have to constantly be home to feed the horses (they have no stomach and have to constantly eat) but you foul up the tank water so fast. Everything you use has to be double duty.. like in stead of a skimmer rated for a 60 gallon tank, I have to have one rated for a 130 gallon ($$$)!

Hope everyone has a good weekend!
