Might be worth giving an online review any place where it is sold, just to give others a heads up
The label does say to inspect the cord.
Given that I've had it for over a year I consider the due diligence factor. Ultimately, I believe that we are the REAL stewards of our animal charges. We should always strive to offer the best safety possible for our charges. Same goes for clean food and water.

What I would like people to realize is that even though your equipment was (or is) adequate, you still need to monitor and maintain it. Repair it if you are capable and replace it if you aren't.

I had a scare but it served to reinforce what I need to do to take care of my charges. I missed something that should have been noticed. I got lucky this time.

A visitor came to call tonight.
I don't mind seeing these beauties as long as I can keep the coop and eggs secure.
I suppose it was hungry and feeding on the bird seed. The devil dog pup wasn't so sure about the guest.

Sorry to hear about the ox.
I have possums under the bird feeder a lot. I'm surprised that I haven't seen a lot of wild life lately. Think our neighbor is killing them off. Haven't seen any ground hogs, or even coons in quite awhile. Just possums and deer. A bit sad. Love seeing all the different critters.

I got woke up at 1:00am to an alarm on my salt water tank, the skimmer decided to start siphoning water out of the tank. The Auto Top off system compensated by refilling it and set off an alarm when the 6 gallons ran out. Had the alarm not gone off I could have had a disaster! There was some water in the basement and on our floor, but not too much damage. Back to the drawing board with the skimmer.

Hope we don't get the ice tonight that I've heard some talk about.

 Glad the alarm worked!!

I don't drive far on ice, and don't love the possible power outages either. Maybe it's going to pass us by...

I'm hoping :fl that they are wrong about the ice storm like they were wrong about the dense fog.

You're not helping Mutt! LOL!

Actually I don't mind, I'll just take a work at home day and stay home!

I decided to get another one of these light fixtures for my coop light. This way I can have lights on longer without having to run out every night to turn them off and on. They aren't happy with me when I come feed/check on them in the dark and flip the lights on. The only thing you have to do is to keep the dust off the sensor. They work great for 10$ at HD.
