Michigan Thread - all are welcome!

If I had known that I would live this long, I would have taken better care of myself.
HearHear!
Now we shuffle along, grimacing in pain, and gaze back with 20/20 vision.
Philosophical vision that is, cause eyes are degrading also :hmm

But every morning I get up (slowly) and eat breakfast of some sort. Must be alive, right?
Bunches of chicks here, replacements for my lost birds ( :hit ) so things are looking up. All that coop cleanup is really impressive!
I painted the bathroom over the weekend, so the new stuff can get installed, by the carpenter who isn't here today. Figures.
Surgery is best gotten over with, but it would be really hard for summer, true.

Many of us grew up with one bathroom for the family. That was then! Now, having only one while the other is being redone is NOT fun! Spoiled? You bet!
Not as bad as the kitchen redo, however. All necessary, but a pain during.

YES! Every house had only one that I remember! Even when I bought my farmhouse in 2002. Since then I gutted the upstairs and built a massive bath(house)room, lol. Complete with a jacuzzi. Anyway, no contractors but it took all fall and winter back in 2009. The little downstairs bath is still used but mostly for bathing dogs, ha ha, and guests!

My new baby beagle is hanging tough with my full grown husky and border collie. Even the cats are getting over their prima donna attitudes. Who wants Flemish Giant bunnies? Should I bring to Chickenstock? Lots available!

I'm afraid we're out of the bunny business for now John. Though I wouldn't mind snuggling one for a bit! :bun

yep, been there done that. no kitchen and no bath, I had one bathroom in my first house, we had to replace all the plumbing, so that meant no water for a while, plus we redid the kitchen and bathroom at the same time - took all summer into fall. Got a bit chilly taking a shower outside! Good thing we had no neighbors!

Well, we are a go for this weekend on excavation and foundation work for the new garage. I hope they show up! :fl I have already envisioned what I want to do in the attic... which will be my new studio space.:wee:yesss::celebrate :yaThe loans gone through as well so we will be very busy this summer.

Mom has decided to move on the weekend we told her we were not available...... :barnie. We decided to rent a truck to haul out all the lumber and furniture that she said we could have. Will try to get it all out in one trip cause we're running out of time.

Did anyone see a rainbow yesterday with the rain? Man was it an intense one... there was like three layers to the bottom rainbow and the top one was pretty bright too.

The new garage/studio will be at the bottom of the left side of the rainbow (see posts!)

WHOA!!!....Great photos Silly, especially that second one!

Put up partition wall and moved broody yesterday, she was having none of that and kept trying to fly thru the mesh wall. I knew high risk of not working, tho it has worked before. Let her back into main coop and moved her well after dark, she's still in nest this morning cluckcluckclucking, tho still sitting backwards as I deposited her. Another day should tell the tale, if she's out and back in nest today I'll put real eggs under her tonite.
