@uchytil Im definitely interested in a bunny or two!!
@SillyChicken those are some beautiful pictures!!!
Someone else can’t remember who had said they were bringing D’Uccles which I am also very interested in!!! Is anyone planning on bringing silkies??
So far I have two or three BR pullets I could bring but I don’t really wanna travel that far with me unless someone wants them especially since I will be bringing more home lol...I’m waiting on seeing what sexes my five D’Uccles are I have three porcelains and two Mille fluers..I’ll be keeping females but may have an extra boy or two?? I do want one male but not sure I’ll keep one of mine or what lol..as of now I only have one silkie no clue as to boy or girl so I’m really looking for this breed!! Had a pretty good weekend lawn got mowed and we went kayaking yesterday was ducklings first trip!! Here’s some pics!! We live right on a river in training them to follow the kayak their already following me all around the yard!! I start out by caging them on the kayak and slowly work towards them just following I have different size cages that I can put in the kayak and always have one attached regardless...And the only time they have access is with me...other than that will be in their run which isn’t built yet but is on the list their still pretty young I do have little pens tho for outside time for now tho...got the bigger girls and boy outside Friday excited about that!! Can’t see real well but here’s a pic of them have six BR pullets and two L. Brahmas pullets and one LB Roo...can’t wait for eggs!! Both chicken and duck!!

I know the big lakes are very high right now. And in a shallow area like Saginaw Bay you can get seiches when the wind is just right. Sounds like downstate is going to get more rain as well.
Got enough rain here that it flooded out the back of the barn aisleway and turned that into mud city there. Mom had to get a couple of straw bales to spread out over it just to get through there. almost dry enough to clean it up now, just need to get around to doing it.
Must be everyone is out enjoying the stunningly beautiful weather?

Got the both mowers running :yesss: never know with those old machines,
and the longest of grass cut before the deluges of rain coming next week.
Hen buyer cancelled, hopefully next weekend:fl
Broody coop to be setup tomorrow.

Anyone here have one of the battery operated string trimmers?
Recommendations?
Always get 2 or more batteries that would go to it. especially if it's for an interchangeable system. Would at least give you one battery that you can leave on a charger.

Looks like a competition is brewing. Knees are first round. Since I had my procedure, I'm moving to the next round. What shall it be? Degenerative disc disease (neck)? Or low back/hip excruciating pain? How about a side bet of hypertension?

Rather than a hatch-a-long we can have injury bingo.
Injury bingo. That sounds like something that we could play at work when we' hear what our clients have done to themselves recently.

Things are going well with the little ones and the broody. She's snapped out of it and is now starting to molt I think. Still got her in with the little ones. just kinda waiting on the big girls to finish eating down the layer feed so that I can switch the feeder over to a flock feed instead when I integrate the flock all together.

Yep, that's ideal....especially back in the day with the ni-cads.
Lithiums charge fast tho, just long enough for a decent break,
so can save some money by buying only one battery.
...... and it fits right in with my mobility budget  ~20 minutes of work, 20 minutes of rest.
Borrowed a EGO 1500 56v from a buddy....that big battery weighs almost as much as the gas trimmer....not really, but was heavier than I anticipated.

Gave the broody 12 eggs last night.

I have a similar plan, I do chores for 30 minutes then a 10 minute break. Never thought to call it a budget. Probably because I can't stick to a budget. :hmm

Going to the doctor again. My back is seriously messed up. ER visit on Friday didn't do a darn thing. Work isn't cutting me any slack. I can't take any time off because of the budget thing. I'm overwhelmed with stuff right now. Retirement eh? :th

Yeah, I don't always stick to it...am paying big time today after doing too much over the weekend, then kept going Monday and Tuesday. Good thing it's raining, helps curb the enthusiasm, naps and ibuprofen today.

Same here. The day started well enough. Saw the doc, got the work restriction paper for TSC. Felt well enough to go in to work at the lumber yard. It's faiely light work as far as lifting goes. There is a good bit of bending and reaching and that did me in before the day was complete. At least these guys are understanding and I came home early.

The TSC people are not so cooperative. They scheduled my PT at the same time I'm supposed to start tomorrow. Called to see if I could start work an hour later and was told "NO" in no uncertain terms. So it will be an 11 hour shift tomorrow (if I want to keep my job). I have no choice but to go in and pull the whole shif tand hope that they accept and abide by the doctor's note. Maybe I'll be home early tomorrow. I really hate the games that these people are playing. No wonder the turn-over is so high.
