Michigan Thread - all are welcome!

There's an outdoor plug about 50ft away. I guess we could run a cord around the garage to that one? Just a matter of protecting it for the winter. I've seen some plug coupling covers that protect the connection. Would I need one of those?

The thing I'm hoping is that we can replace the old floodlight with one that has a built in ground plug (since it needs to get done anyway). Then it would only be 2 feet away from the top of the coop. But, that possibly requires my Dad, who just had a heart cath, so that's probably not going to happen for now.

Planning on setting whatever we get to come on in the morning :thumbsup

I was rather surprised that the store manager said that I could have them. Most of the time stuff like this goes in the dumpster. I got lucky today.
Can't imagine all that would fit in a dumpster....you probably saved them money by not having it hauled off.

Quite the score today. 7 racks that work was going to put in the dumpster. I asked & the store manager said I could have them. On the condition that I got them out of there today.
I was thinking positively & took the trailer to work. It took about an hour to load up and secure these old steel carts. Quite heavy they were.

I'm going to use them for wood racks. There were 7 carts and I'll take the casters off to reuse for work benches in the garage. The casters alone are more than worth the effort to reclaim them. I hate to see good stuff go to waste or sent to landfills. This was rusty gold to me.

They get the 40 foot dumpsters. We filled several of them with brand new shelving and fixtures and steel pallet racks when we were setting up the store. Tens of thousands of dollars worth of usable stuff went to the landfill. Stuff that could have been used in another store or donated to charitable organizations. It was a damn shame.

So I was surprised that I was able to get these rusty old fixtures at all.

Nice haul, Raz

This is the current situation here. I blame all of you who mentioned the S-word. Shame on you.
