Michigan Thread - all are welcome!

Well I had a start yesterday morning.... Heard some strange calls from the chickens. I look at the camera, and see all the hens going into the coop, with Bubba my rooster standing in the run. Okay strange so I go check. here Bubba is sounding what I believe to be an alarm call(never heard that from him before). I can't see anything in the immediate area, go closer to the coop. and look out front, two deer standing about 50 feet away. Well darn it Bubba guess he's never seen a deer before. They settle down, Thanks mom I was scared for a bit, now everyone comes back out and all are relaxed.

Big, I'm sorry to hear your mom has been put at such inconvenience on top of what must be a very difficult surgical prospect :(
Colonoscopy. Only a check of the plumbing, not a renovation.
Ya, I should have checked that myself.

She got her test results back tonight. Guess it was an onsite lab there and she's Negative. So we should be an all go for Thursday as long as mom does all of her Prep before.

Was going to take her Truck to the feed mill in Milan today to get some stuff there, but it wouldn't start. Dead battery. Probably doesn't help that it hasn't moved in a couple of weeks. Should be ok to go tomorrow after my brother put his battery charger on it.

When I had my colonoscopy, the prep work was the only bad part of it. I tend to have blood sugar crashes, and I knew not eating was going to be a problem. Then I read that yellow Jello was allowed. So I made yellow Jello Knox blocks. (If you don't know, it's regular Jello with extra gelatin; Knox gelatin made them a "thing.") Thick enough to almost chew, and extra protein. No blood sugar crash.

Didn't fix the "other end" issue, but I got through the day without curling up in a corner, sucking my thumb and crying. Ok, crashes aren't that bad for me.

Good luck!
