Yep.So if that's worth the half day's labor... there's your answer.
Setting up the brooder will be easier than trying to catch chicks in the cramped chick coop.

I am amazed at all the stuff your work throws out (or would if you weren't there)!! I wish that when I worked at my previous job, I would have kept some of the metal frames they threw out (they would have been good trellises)!More junk brought home from work. It's almost to the point that the bosses won't throw out stuff unless they ask me first.
I think I can use these for more chicken run fencing. Or maybe a clothesline. I have other random ideas too.
Love to take them in but I got 5 ducklings 3 weeks old at the momentWondering if anyone has room for two Ancona/Swedish mix drakes? Central MI.
Here's the one, he was born last spring. The other one is an all white one from a previous years hatch. They're brothers.
Long shot but I figured I'd try. Too many boys and I don't really want to get more females.
E: think I might have it figured out where I can separate the two extra males from the flock. But if anyone wants one, please let me know.
My situation has really changed so I may have to rehome all of my chickens.Love to take them in but I got 5 ducklings 3 weeks old at the moment
4 bantam hens, 4 bantam roosters (two silkies and two mixes), some ayam cemani mixes and some 3 year old RIR hens. They're all basically pets to me, even though the RIR hens have slowed down with laying. I realize it'll be hard finding homes.Oh wow really? How many is in your flock and why would you need to rehome all of them possibly if you're comfortable sharing
Nice looking family @Dreamzchaser ! Love the baby pictures of the girls, nice set up.Good afternoon! OK, so I do not mess this up, How is my flock doing? (I was told that there are roosters here)
Tired still today. Made some more yard work and tended the girls and decided to see how to get my pictures to share. So I changed the coffee with the PR map to one of my boys and me. The ones I have arms on are my two sons, Vincent the oldest one and Joseph my baby one. Then in front of my oldest is my grandson, his son.
Ok, I am not good a story telling but I tried. Now you know more about crazy me and a face. I do not share pictures of me very often, because I do not want my presence on the internet.
Going to take a very late nap so I can watch American Idol tonight. I still have to be up early because I am heading to Ann Arbor for an appointment at the VA clinic for a Zenker's Diverticulum that they were not able to find back in December. SO I might not be able to come around the full day. I should be back by 3pm I guess. It is about 2 hrs drive but I love to take country roads sometimes. It makes me feel good.
Hugs and kisses in a very, very respectful way.
sorry to hear this, Itty. I hope you tap into the housing resources through MSHDA and the local MDHHS. There are plenty of options around the State for all types of incomes. Good luck!4 bantam hens, 4 bantam roosters (two silkies and two mixes), some ayam cemani mixes and some 3 year old RIR hens. I don't live in a very good home, I live with my grandparents and to be frank with everyone, they are the worst people. No empathy, narcissistic, expect me to pay them back for taking care of me as a child. I am disabled and pay them as much as I can monthly and also buy their food and toiletries... Today I realized I need to get out, and I realize I will most likely be homeless.
