Michigan Thread - all are welcome!

I don't know about you guys but I had a super productive day here! I've gotten so much done school wise and finally nearly able to say I'm ahead of my classes. Feels so good to have all that stress and relief off my shoulders.

I got practice tonight and 2 games tomorrow morning in East Grand Rapids then I'll be finished off my Saturday with work for 6 hours. Busy but I love it.

Super excited for Sunday cause I'll have nothing to do except enjoy my book and sit outside

I play lacrosse. And thanks! I'll have a game @ 8am and 12pm but we have to be there an hour early before our game and it's an hour drive so we have to leave at 6am. Not how I want to wake up for my Saturday but if it's for this sport, I'm all in.

Long day at work. Today was my first day in the garden centre. I actually went in on my day off. It took a while but I finally got approval from my manager to allow me to pick up extra hours in other departments. For unknow reasons, she would only schedule us dockworkers to 4 hour days. And she wouldn't let us work in other departments even if they needed extra help. The store is currently severely understaffed so I've been given leave to work as much as I want, up to 40 hours. Sure is better than the 12 hours I was scheduled for this week.

Today was all heavy lifting outside. I built a bunch of plant displays in the greenhouse. Cinder blocks and steel mesh shelving. So all my muscles got a good work out and I got in over 30,000 steps. Worked up a good sweat even though it was only 35 degrees today. Became quite aromatic as well. :sick

I'm back on the dock for the next 3 days but I expect that I'll round out the days in the garden centre. It needs a tonne of work to get it ready. I hope things are looking up. It has been a tough winter.

The radio is predicting snow over night and into tomorrow.

Glad you can pick up more hours, Randy. Crazy how your manager wouldn't let you pick up hours in other departments. Garden Center is the place for you!!
The lady that found the chicken downtown Lansing over a year ago and I adopted, messaged me and wants to come over for a visit with Henrietta. She really loved that chicken. Painted her toe nails. Happens to be a friend of a good friend of mine. Small world. Wonder if I should paint her nails? Think I have polish from my son's wedding a couple of years ago.
Have a good day. Looks like it's going to be a pretty day.
