Michigan Thread - all are welcome!

Here are the babies!! Dont mind the temp in background. It is a toasty 95 degrees. Had to replace the batteries. They made it through the first night with no issue. So sweet they are.

Now I have to focus my attention back on my girl that went lame in January. She was limping in January, again in March and now again since last Wednesday. I found her last night laying the run and doesnt seem to have strength to get up. Her eating is fine but last night she seemed to struggling more than the past times. She also is losing balance. The foot she favors doesnt seem to have an injury and she hasn’t lost her appetite. She also appears to splay her wings out when I put her on the roost last night. I don’t want to separate her but my concern continues since her conditions seems to reoccur.

Taking with good with the bad today.
Hi, Michelle, They are stinking cute! I think, at least me, that wish they stay like that just like my children,lol

Sorry about the lady. Keep monitoring and hopefully she gets over it once more.
Love ya!

For those of you who have been around for awhile... remember Kathy and Harvey Pearl? Think his name was Mr Chicken dad. Kathy is having her right leg amputated above the knee Saturday. She fell and shattered her femur. Keep her in your prayers, please. They just sold their farm and moved into a condo. Everything is still in boxes.
Kathy and Harvey Pearl added to prayer warriors lists.

WOW! that was a lot to catch up.

@aart this is what I bought https://www.amazon.com/Bonide-Products-Lice-Control-Dust/dp/B00PX9LW3W

Have to figure the computer all out again because it has that windows 10 pro new crap. :confused:

Anyways, the ladies are being a real pest. They are very naughty and hateful to the other little ones. I have been doing so much work is not even funny. So having a little land and a vision as to where and how you want it, is a lot of work. For me is even harder because I have to run and check ordinances to make sure I am not in the wrong. Wish I had more and not have ordinances. But it is what it is and have to work with what God allowed me to have. I really missed you all.

Question, I have the nest boxes in the coop but they are blocked with a piece of wood. The ladies are 15 and half wks. When do I open them up? What do I use for bedding inside the boxes? Have the fake eggs already.

not sure when to open, maybe when one lays on the ground:)
I have used hay in my boxes, I am now using wood chips, mostly because for a while getting hay was difficult. They don't seem to care what is in there.

Dh is talking about taking the dog to Fallasburg Park after dinner to go swimming. That would be a fun family thing. It's about 10 minutes away.

Tomorrow I go get chick feed. Chick day is getting closer! :clap
do you go to the Fallasburg fest, in Sept.? love to go for the food and music. Looking at all the things I can't afford is fun too:)
