Nest boxes get stinky quick with broken eggs in this heat :sick

Raz also used to have some bantam Lavender Ameraucanas, which he got from me - they were the cutest little birds, looked like doves. I have tried several times since to get some more, but they are very rare.

This was my flock in 2013, with the Lav Roo, king of all he surveys

Speaking of rare, my bantam Speckled Sussex eggs go into lockdown tonight :fl

Oh wow! I had forgot about that.
Way back when I was living in Garden CIty aka "The Dark Ages".
Those BLAs were the sweetest birds. Maybe I should try a breeding programme for them???

BTW I've lost about 50 pounds since then and my moustache is completely grey now. :old

I keep my coop pretty clean. Clean it every morning. Then right before they go in at night, I walk around the fenced in part of the yard where they hang out and with the hose wash the poop away. Good fertilizer. And you don't have to chase the birds in, they'll go in all by themselves when it gets dusky.
I do the same every day! Instead of hands, I will need to have rakes, poop scoopers and scrape sknives, lol I did the hose thing the other day. My long hose is broken because someone was not able to get it out before moving and just cut it , so it is sitting back there. But used a little one and it did better. No flies in the coop yet. Not much done. I have been very sad and crying a lot. My Ross is no longer here. He did mounted Rachel and hope that whatever he left there is gone before she lays. He is in a 5 acre home with lots of chickens, hens, baby chicks, a goat, a pig, a goose and ducks. I do not know what will happen to him. She said that I could go and visit him but I do not think it will be right. oops! Have to go cry again. Sorry!

:D

If you can find some let me know, the only breeder I was able to track down had few birds left and was not selling hatching eggs.
I had some beautiful bantam lavanders from John Briem? I think that was his name. the sweetest birds ever. I lost my last one last fall. He also had partrige ameraucana's still have one of those. He had the sweetest birds,

Blehm.
Always wanted some of his Am's...out of my price range tho.
He ended up selling some stock to a hatchery a few years ago,
can't remember which one and if they continue(d) to keep selling pure Am's or not.

I think one of my itty bitties might have cocci...

I don't have pictures of the poop, but it's reddish-brownish, compared to the other birds'. I don't know for certain who it is. With the number of brownish poops, maybe two of them? It looks like the pictures I've seen posted.

No real lethargy, all are eating and drinking well. I have NutriDrench in the water right now. Corid dosage for week old chicks...? Preference for powder or liquid form?

I've been reading some threads, but they're all a few years old. Can I tap into the brain trust here? @aart @1muttsfan @RaZ

Post poop pics?
Wonders if the poop color has anything to do with the nutridrench?
I do not know the dosage for corid, never used it.

This is a typical one. Size is about half an inch long. It's a little redder than the photo shows. Also, you can just barely see the ring around it from the liquid that came out at the same time.
