@MysteryChicken I didn't want to hijack the thread where I saw the picture you posted of a Buff Orpington, Black Australorp cross.

But do you have have many of these? I have a BO roo and BA hens. If one of the girls goes broody, I would love to hatch a cross! What do you think of them? Good layers, decent sized eggs? Pretty.....?
That's the only one of the cross I have left, & they're pretty good consistent layers of large to medium sized eggs. My girl lays brown with speckles.

Dang, if one of my new chicks is a cockerel, do you want my BO roo? I'm half serious...
What's his body type? I would have to quarantine him for about 6 months max before letting him join my flock.

I can easily breed a pure Buff Orpington cockerel from my own birds though.
