Hello fellow Michiganders,
I'm not trying to be a butinsky. I have a question..
Is there a specific way to start a conversation in our thread without it being a reply to someone else's ongoing conversation?
I haven't figured it out.
All I have been able to do so far is on this document and then it has, Post Reply.
Could someone help me?

Post away. No need for it to be a response to the ongoing conversation. Start your own subject, just be aware that someone might quote something from another post that does not necessarily follow your subject, so your line of thought might seem a bit jumbled because of that. It's the way this type of media works. Feel free to start your conversation whenever.

If you mean start a new thread under the Michigan heading like you would under the Raising Baby Chicks or Coops and Runs.... then no. This is a thread rather than a section (I don't know if there is a name for section like I used it here.)

This thread is just a bunch of Michiganders chatting away about anything that pops into their heads. Kind of like the BYC Café thread, but we're all in Michigan. Though it's not a requirement to be; we have others stop by every now and then.

Ok, here goes!
We went o to town today and picked up ten Rhode Island Red baby chicks! They are all set up and doing well. I'm like a kid in a candy shop, just giddy, lol
A little back story:
I grew up on a small family farm in Arizona. My hubby grew up in Flint. When we met and married he told me he didn't want to be a farmer. Well, he's a homesteader, lol. He loves it too. So slowly over the last eleven years he has gone from doing the wood, helping build our home and helping me flower garden. This year will be his/our third vegetable garden and his first chickens. So, a little later in life, but what a journey!

I'm so happy!
