Michigan Thread - all are welcome!

Oh my freaking G*D. Glad to hear no one was hurt. Something wrong with that gun if the safety could just slip off.
Nothing is wring. He was just tired of working all day outside and his hands hurt a lot. He grabbed it the wrong way and slipped through his hand releasing the lock. As prior military,I make sure of fire arms safety at all times. They are usually on an iron safe cabinet but I had it out while free ranging my girls and just stood it by his bed before going to pee when he picked it up. God is good. I told him that getting mad and upset and curse a lot was unnecessary but to thank God for using His hand to avoid the evil schemes. I am sorry but I am a believer and cannot believe in karma. He loves me and will protect me and my loved ones.
However, fire arms need to be handled with lots of safety and care. So many stories of mishaps. Guns never will kill people. People kill people with fire arms. I have handled many for over 30yrs. Never myself had a mishap. I need to give another training to hub,lol
Love ya Michelle! When are you going to invite to see the aurora borealis? Lol

Suppose I could see the safety being released, but the fact that it fired upon being dropped??
I know but I was not there and doubt that was done on purpose. It is a new arm, so I have not taken it to the range yet. Figure they are about the same all brands. Who knows what really happened?

Quackies are fine this morning. Opened up the door for them but did not come down until it was light around 7am. Will need to adjust. It is beginning to light break later in the mornings. Hope to do the automatic door today but they will need to come back to the chickens for a few days until the floor is completely dry and fume free. Maybe after I get back from Indiana.

Well, now that things had pass and he brought the subject I asked for specifics. He was checking without realizing it had released the lock and pressed the trigger, lol You were right. However, I am glad it was the wall and told him the he is not to check any fire arms while loaded. He is not a gunsmith nor lives in a target practice area.

Good morning!
Well my second cockerel began crowing this morning. He is just like Papa-Pitbull. His tail is that shinny-greenish color. His name should be Pitbull Jr. So PJ' will be his nickname, lol

Snowbird has lost his sickle feathers. He only had two, and they fell out last night. One of my 2yo hens has a neck that looks like a porcupine.

Are roosters fertile while they're molting? I haven't seen any fertile eggs in a week or so.

Both males and females unlikely to mate much when molting and not laying eggs.

Well, so far, ready to go. Whatever happens, happens. Ducks are in their house. Spent 30min to get one in. Cameras are in place. One inside and 2 in the run. Asked hub to please close somehow the bottom of the house, so they do not fit under it. I would not be able to get eggs from under it if anyone decide to do so. Food and water good but will do my last run around 630am. Xtra lights in the yard to be able to see anything that crosses by or if anything is tampering with the door to get in the run. Once I am gone will arm the cameras until hub gets back home and then at night to make sure all is safe. Girls are ok. Yes, seems like some are molting earlier this year. Pitbull sure is. Barely has a tail, lol. Well, have a meeting at 9am before heading south, good night!
