Storm is over. 8 in snow in my town, but 14 in just 5 miles down the road. Chickens did nit appreciate the white stuff. I made them a mini snowman for the run as a boredom buster… they pecked out the head first. I think they were sending me a message. lol

Stormy conditions here have been extended another day. No snow but high winds and cold temperatures continue through Thursday. All of this is coming straight down from Georgian Bay across miles of Lake Huron. It's supposed to go down to 31 tonight. I can hardly wait until real winter gets here.

New alternator installed on the Jeep. Went in without a hitch and no swear words were spoken. Two days in a row working on machines and no cuss words. That's a record! I'll have the part for the washer tomorrow after work and will be able to do laundry again. At least I didn't have to buy another washing machine.

Maybe this October curse is over!?

@RaZ glad you will get your washer fixed. Mine kaput and bought a returned about 5 months ago and not ringing right. Looking at those appliances is torture Will come out over 1K for both. Went to Muskegon to just dry my laundry an hour away. At least I had other stuff to do there, so it was not a one trip ordeal. I do not think I can continue hanging it outside anymore,lol

Question, one of the cockerels keeps trying to mate the other cockerel. Why? Pitbull does nothing about it.

I'm leaving my laundry line up until next week. We're supposed to have 3 days around 70 degrees. If it looks like laundry on the line weather, I'm going to wash the dog blankets and the comforter on the bed.

I would suspect a matter of dominance. I've had the mating behaviour happen with female dogs. Perhaps others can weigh in here too.
