Last night at 8:30, saw the first frog crossing our road, probably a green frog. And this morning, a first turtle, probably a Blandings, I helped cross the road near here. Time to be alert for frogs and especially turtles!

So.... Our geese are scared of cats lol Thats unexpected. My brothers cat escaped outside and our geese freaked out and went running back to the kennel. I would have thought with the way Gus has been acting he would have attacked her but nope he was completely terrified.

Slowly, but surely! Some finishing touches left and the coop will be done! Then, the focus will shift to the run. The chicks arrive on Monday, I believe, as their hatch date is Sunday, and I am SO EXCITED!!! We were originally starting to call this The Close Enough Coop, but have taken to calling it The Patchwork Coop, and that seems to be sticking.

Gonna be super lazy - when's Chickenstock? I have a gift and all the stuff for the raffles and sign-in book still. Oh yeah, my buck Percy passed so no kids till I figure that out. Am looking for some feeder pigs also.

Well just for fun I loaded up the incubator this morning - about a dozen bantam Speckled Sussex and a few Arkansas Blue x SS. Spring is here!
