Michigan Thread - all are welcome!

Hi Joe. I was just talking about Opa with some friends of mine. I had the pleasure of visiting he and Granny in Howell, and I had some Vorwerks that I hatched out some of his eggs. Some of us still sure do miss him!
Thank you for remembering him so fondly! Both he and Granny were my best friends. I learned so much from them. I was shocked when he decided to get out of chickens. He loved this site and all of you as much as he loved his birds! I live in Missouri, I am not sure I qualify to be on the Michigan thread, but I will do what I can to help anyone I can! Here is how we live today. Maybe you will find it interesting? Again, Thanks for caring about my family!

What vegetables have you planted in August? How did they turn out?

I couldn't plant much this past spring and what I did plant was largely neglected until the last ten days. So, I have lots of empty garden space now.

I'm thinking of radishes, lettuces, peas, bush beans, carrots, and all the microgreens for sure. And, likely, broccoli, cucumbers, and dill. I might not get as many pickings of some of them but I should get something from them, I think.

I'm tempted to try zucchini, too.
