Was it a wild one? I read the Mallards were high on the AI list. We've been lucky not to have any problems here. Crows routinely go in our duck house and steal food, plus we have wild bird feeders. My biggest problem is one you may not believe...a wild turkey that lives here. More on that long story later.I had a young lady show up on my doorstep with a sick duck a few weeks ago. I almost had a heart attack. I told her she should contact the DNR, they might want to test the bird. Then told her that I could not touch it nor could it stay at my house, and that she should not take it to her house and endanger her birds. She had not even considered AI.
