So yesterday I weakened and bought five chicks from TSC, three EES (they call them Americanas or some such spelling) and two Australorps, all (maybe) pullets. Cute, so very cute!
Now I'm thinking I might find more elsewhere...

Black Australorp chicks are so adorable! All chicks are cute, but the little cotton ball butts...

When I got my first chicks, I fell in love with BAs. I'd read that the 5-6 week old age was the "ugly teenage phase," but I thought they were cute then too.

And then I saw the Blue Aussies... swoon...

My superpowers are strong! I have yet to cave in to baby chick season (although I LOVE all the pictures, and I'll live vicariously through y'all).

Course, I DID just rescue 2 hens and 2 roos and they integrated with my flock last week. Does that count? Everyone is doing well and figuring it all out.

I lost my job Friday. "Restructuring," they called it. So, I'm searching for another position, but for the time being, I'm enjoying my birds and my gardening and taking things slow.
