Michigan Thread - all are welcome!

I am not sure if this is the right place, but I have a rooster that needs to find a home. I am in Ann Arbor, Michigan.

Gosh he is so pretty. Looks like he might be gamefowl if he is a bantam and from the Google image search, looks like that comb/wattle grow fast on them!

Do you live in Ann Arbor? Your neighbors have explicitly complained? Are you allowed to have roosters where you are? I have two boys. They bring so much good to my hens. They show them where to lay eggs, where to find the best treats, keep them off my neighbor's yard, protect them from the hawks, and give me fertile eggs I can hatch.

But I get it. My boys are especially loud. They crow throughout the day and grunt, sqwak, growl, and purr too. I find that bringing free eggs to the neighbors helps them tolerate the noise.

And my hens are loud, too! Especially my broodys who go nuts and start screaming matches, so hopefully rehoming this guy will be the end of noise complaints.

There is a sanctuary in Mattawan where I took my bantam rooster. He was wonderful to my girls but not so much to me. He's very happy there. If you're on your last resort and don't want him to be eaten, I can give you her number.
