Fall landed hard here last night, we are getting lake effect rain, and our high today was about 56. Cold for the next week with rain off and on. More and more trees changing every day.

Sorry for laughing but I was picturing it in my head, her shaking and leaving a circle of feathers and trailMy buff orp is officially molting. A month earlier than last year. But a few hundred buff feathers floating about today. Of course if you looked at her, you could not tell where they are coming from yet. Last year in early October, she had a "power" molt. Came out to free range, got about 20 feet from the run, had a good shake and literally left a circle of feathers around her, and then a trail behind her as she ran to her favorite foraging spot. She didn't make it to fully bald last year, was over half though.
Awesome photos! Lucky little frog, that you found him!Just winding down the garden and off-roading out here, and winding up the canning/pickling/dehydrating. Also preparing to have our septic system rehauled in a couple of weeks........
And I signed my offer letter with Beacon Health yesterday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Here's our off-road picnic from Monday, my artichoke I let go to bloom and a cute lil frog that I removed a pine needle from.
This happened to a dog we had years ago. Must be pretty awful "stuff"Wow he sure is a beauty though! If you can't find a home for him, I suggest Geyer Auction in Williamston.
I haven't seen a tree frog in years! Apparently toads have been very common at our house, I've been rescuing them from where the dogs walk because they go crazy about them. My pointer had one in her mouth but the toad put this stuff in her mouth from his poison glands or something or other, and she immediately spat him out and was coughing![]()
