So far we've canned 36 quarts of stewed tomatoes and 12 quarts of pasta sauce in the past two weekends and still have bushels more on the plants. At this rate it'll never end lol.

Given how strange this growing season has been, and the fact that last year's tomato crop was pitiful, I am thrill with this year' tomatoes. Also I don't think I've ever raised sweeter tasting tomatoes.

And here I have all these empty jars...I got one tomato this year.
Oddly enough, the pea plants that struggled all season long are now producing pods. They are very sad looking. They will become chicken snacks.

Thank you. I really do appreciate your support.

My little local fight is one thing, but there are changes afoot that could negatively impact all (80%) of us within the state. Even if you are currently "legal".
A fellow BYCer and I have been attending the Ag Com and GAAMP meetings to address some gross over sights in the legal language.

This isn't just my fight, it is for all of us who aren't big corporations.

Do you allow them near your chickens?

We have nigerian dwarf like Stacykins. We keep them in a pen behind the house and we put our bantams in with them every morning. They don't bother each other at all with the exception of the occasional piggy back ride when one of the banties hops up on their backs which really doesn't even faze them. They are easy to care for and can be quite hilarious to have around. Our Bailey is such a sweet girl, but our Boomer can be a bit of a mischief maker.

Thank you everyone for the birthday wishes. The only thing I really did yesterday was start a 2000pc jigsaw puzzle which as of an hour ago I still have a ways to go. No hurry on it, though.
