Good afternoon all. No deer for my husband yesterday. We have seen many on our trail cameras and the neighbors trail camera. We try to see how many diffrent bucks we have running through our area. Looks to be 8-10 different ones. We have seen a huge 12 point out in our field bedded down with a doe. My husband would love to see him come through but would be happy with a doe or smaller buck too. He was lucky and got a doe permit, his Dad didn't.

We had 5 deer in our front yard on Saturday morning, it is now Monday night and haven't seen a single one.
We usually have them either in the front or back almost everyday.
We have always said they go and hide on Nov 15 every year and come back out after Dec 10.

Haven't even heard very many gun shots either.

Good morning all!!! Everyone must be hunting this morning. Sure miss you guys and it take forever to catch up. I only went back a page. Glad to see we have a date for the meet and greet. Had luck last night Four on each side with and at the base's there were 2 stickers one long so it is either 8pt or 12 pt.

Small basket rack very high though. Some pics. Bad genetics thats if you are trophy hunter I want the meat you cannot eat horns but nice to get.

Congrats on the deer!

Our old neighbor called my hubby this morning to tell him he waited outside his house (rural area) and got a 16 point opening day.

Off to get some work done.

Poor deer! I hope it died fast. At least it died to feed a family and not getting hit by a car. I HATE HUNTING SEASON but I know it is something that has to happen to control the deer population.

I just heard a shot on my own property just at dark. Thought hunters were suppose to be out of the woods at dark?

Hunters can be out their they just cannot be shooting past dark.

Any I wanted to go hunting again tonight but mom said not until I have the other one cut up. 1/2 hour tops and it will be done.
