Have not checked in for a couple days been working on the hunting with muzzleloader. Got 2 yesterday one in the morning and one at night. Took son out this morning and saw nothing wow what a difference when you sit with someone that is not going to happen again.

citalk3much- What is wrong with your stove? What kind is it and how old? Electric or gas? propane or natural? Do you have to light the pilot or is it electronic?

I had just gone threw this with mine I called a repair place and gave the symptoms and they said it to be the ignitor for the oven and broiler. to replace it cost 80 and to have them come out add another 75.

My stove was old and we bought another one. You would probably call a place and discuss the possiblities sorry could not be better help. It is simple to replace but spending that kind of money on a long shot and even though the ovens are simply built it could also be the knob went bad not sure. Sorry.

Good Morning!

Went to my homeschool mom's breakfast. Very good time and a nice talk was given about 'time'. Got a call from home, which is never good, that Jack was throwing up. I came home and he is still getting sick. Poor guy! He doesnt have an ounce of fat on him, so he needs to mend so he can pack on the weight. (Jack is 5 and Nathan is 3 and about the same size!)

Suppose to do an event with my 2 oldest. It is about modesty and how the world views what we wear. Hopefully Jack will feel ok enough so daddy can stay with him.

Tonight is Jon race car banquet. Our once a year date night. If Jack isn't feeling great, I may stay home. I don't feel right leaving him with the babysitter. So we will see.

Have a good day and keep warm everyone!

Sarah

All the deer HBR and Opa you to are getting. Your very lucky. We have seen 2 coyotes. It is out on the back 40 ac. Gonna move a camera up near the coop just to make sure. Our deer seem to taken up the night shift this year. GGrrrr...

Citalk baking sounds like a great idea today, hope you oven starts to work.

Wylie, get those kids feeling good. Nothings worse then when the kids are sick. Good luck.

Welcome lighthawk!!!

Congrats KKG.

Congrats Opa and HBR!!

Wish I could find a responsible hunter to hunt my woods. But had a guy come hunt and he shot a button buck that wasnt even as big as my German Shep and could have put 2 of them in my wheel barrel. So that was the end of that. Im sure it was good eating but it was just a baby.

Sarah, Hope the kids start all feeling better. And sure hope you can go out on your date night.

KKC
get us some pictures soon of those lil peepers. Gosh they are so cute when they hatch out. CCF's been hatching so it takes the itch off me to hatch some too.

Citalk2much: my maytag oven would light sometimes and not others. Worked when it wanted too. It was the ignition switch for the oven. Cost $40 for the part and took about 1/2 hour max to install. I did it 2 times myself after husband showed me how to do it the first time. Needless to say that oven went to the scrap yard. With mine tho, if I left the oven on for about an hour it would once in a while, finally heat up. Might wanna give that a try?

YakLady: Sure hope you're feeling better. Havent seen you post in a bit.

Can you all believe it, 20 days until Christmas??? We've been so lucky to have such mild weather for October and November. So I guess I wont crab to much about the bitter cold this morning and the snow. Took me about 5 mins to scrap all the ice off my car before I went to town. Winter is here for sure.

How long ago was that? I used to be at the gaines bar a bit

I lived at 11012 Duffield Rd. (corner of Duffield and Ray) from 1992 to 1998. It was a cute little house when I lived there. I kept the flowerbeds and lawn immaculate but my daughter says the people who live there now have really let it get run down. So sad.

I had chickens when I lived there. Mostly Aracaunas and a cute Bantam rooster. Also had an African goose and a Toulouse. One day I came home from work on an extremely hot summer day and someone had left a cardboard box in my driveway with 12 white chicks in it! Thank god they were all OK.
I was only in the Gaines bar once. I heard it was a pretty rowdy place.

It was one of those bars where you directed the fights to the outside, and when things were done, both parties came back in, ordered each other a beer and shook hands... There was a lot of hand shaking most nights though. Now a days it's pretty tame.

Oh wow, I just caught up with the thread... Welcome to all the newcomers!!! This is a great place. Yes, Opa can be a cranky rooster but his bark is worse than... er... his crowing is worse than... um... clucking is worse than... awwwhhhh shucks, you know what I meant.

Sarah, how is your SIL doing?

Morning everyone.
Been trying to get caught up on the threads.
My SIL who's a Peramedic and Fireman is in the hospital with arm and hand swelled to purple. They have been running test since tuesday, finally put him in hospital on Thursday, called in the specialist and still can't find out why it is swelling and hurts so bad he's on pain killers. They have done Cat scan, heart cath, x-rays, MRI, to name a few. They have the Heart, Vasselar, Neroulogist and still no one can figure it out.
We keep telling him to go to UofM before he loose his arm as he is also diabetic. He is only 33 and might weight 130 soaking wet.
So we have the 3 grand kids and it sure takes me forever to get ready to go somewhere.

Please say a pray for him.

Thanks
Babette

I am in the Grand Rapids area.

Terri
