Christmas program was a success! Everyone had a good time and enjoyed the juice and cookies afterward

Now I am getting started on Christmas cards. Picked them up this afternoon ( I do a card that has a photo of the kids on it) and hope to have them in the mail by tomorrow night.

It is snowing out a little right now. Nice and peaceful

Thanks for all the good thoughts friends. John is home and it is so wonderful to have him back with us for the holidays. His mother and I both remarked that we could actually "feel" him being there.

Opa - good job on the deer my brother. I was lucky enough to take a nice fat 6 pointer during rifle season. Since John missed the November gun season we are talking about driving up north on Christmas evening to see if he can take one during late doe season up there. He would like to have it processed into hunters sausage so we can ups him a package every couple weeks.

Well the appliance gremlins have struck again. Last night I was slicing the venison pastrami when the motor on the slicer overheated and quit. The stupid thing only lasted 30 years. Sadly I can't find a replacement motor since the unit is over 30 years old and is no longer made.

Grandbaby made it safe and sound mom is doing great as well.

She was born 20 Dec 2009, 7:09 am, 7 lbs 15 oz, and 21 inches long. she is a beautiful site still in the U. P. and wish to put pics on but will have to wait until I get back home this computer is like a type writer.

We just about got the Christmas cards done. The photo card is stuffed inthe envelope, addresses written by hand (my hand is a little sore) and return address label on them. Printing off the newsletter. Just need 115! Cannot believe I do so many, but everyone likes them so much.

Off to start folding the newsletters and stuffing them in the envelopes

I got new running shoes yesterday and it was like heaven running my 2 miles this morning!
