Back from the swap, was nice to see everyone that we met up with! Missed you Sam! Was so happy Kristin (Krisrose) took home my little rescue goose, she was so sweet, and I feel better knowing she went to such a great home.Of course Rose (Chickflick) is a bad as an enabler as I am, she said, of course you must take this goose home, look how sweet she is! Then she carried her out, all the while, the goose was nibbling on her neck! I hope your Tom is feeling better soon, Kris.

Also got to chat with Michelle (ShellyB1969) and see her beautiful new blue bantam cochin boy. Parked next to Ellen (Zephyrcreek), bought some Freedom Rangers from her for my kids for fair and she bought she khaki campbells off Babette (Babszoo) who I rode with. Oopsy Daisy bought a big brooder from Babette, so got to meet her too. it was great!

Thankfully the weather stayed decent, no rain!

So who is up for Wolf Lake next Saturday??? It is even bigger!!

Rose...next time I'll come more prepared for your arrival. I'll be sure and bring some Showgirl chicks to stuff in your pockets, too!

As for you being an enabler....yes you are. But you are very easily enabled too!

Kristin...I wish I had seen your new gosling. I like them when they're small and cuddly.

Hi Everyone!!!!

Opa- great door! I am glad that you didn't roll Hope in the barrel. I think you would still be paying for it if you would of rolled her!!!!!

Glad that some of you all got to meet up today! I was at the theatre all day. It is coming together real nice. Lots of work left til Thursday night, when it all has to be done! Opening night is in 6 days!!!!

Rachel is in Greenville Ohio at the poultry show and she is doing awesome! She finds out tomorrow the final results but she kept going back for tie breaker questions in showmanship. She was the only one to know that brumblefoot is a staph infection

Good thing we are dealing with it here and she knew the answer!
Rachel's black ameracana she bought at fowl fest last fall got best ameracana in the junior show. So it is up for best clean legged bantam tomorrow.
I am so proud and excited for her! Wish I was there with her, but she is in great company down there.

Off to take care of Rachel's chickens. Good night everyone!

Sarah

just got in from chores and had to share this with you.

Camera downloading isn't working right now, but we have the largest egg ever from Rachel's hens.

I weighed it and it weighs 4.14 oz where another egg in the nest weighs 2.42 oz which is an XL size egg!

I cannot believe the hen isn't having issues due to the large egg!

Good night all!

Good morning all. I was very unhappy to see the rain this morning until I turned the news on and saw the devastation that hit Yazoo City, Mississippi. Certainly makes our wet day seem like a walk in the park. Take a few moments to pray for those poor souls.

Good Morning, everyone!

Did anyone else have a power outage last night? We are just west of Flint/Swartz Creek and power was out from 7 to about 11:30. I had a bator full of eggs, 3 brooders full of chicks and another late chick hatching in the other incubator. Chickendad hooked up the generator and ran lights to the younger babies and juice to the incubators, but it was a little scary there for a while. I couldn't find anything on the news about it, and Consumers didn't have any info either.

Good Morning everyone, just spent a little time catching up on the last few days of posts! Sounds like the Imlay City was a success! I wanted to go but my brother was supposed to come over with his kids, needles to say he stood us up, again! So what's the story with Wolf Lake?

Opa, I love your composter. DH bought one for me last year (don't tell him but I like your design better) it looks like you have a better air circulation.
