Thanks! I needed a laugh. Makes you wonder what the other drivers thought...like if they didn't see the rooster..."Should we dial 911? there's a lady running up and down the median of the highway..." Be careful.

I can just picture that! Too funny!

Maybe trying to find him closer to dusk will allow easier capture?

Opa... I wondered where you been. I know you weren't feeling well before, are you better now?

One of the side effects of being a rider at the wrinkle ranch is that anytime you have an illness is that it seems to take longer to rebound to your former self. I am feeling much better and trying to get as many things accomplished as possible. Much needs to be done to get the yard cleaned up and the garden ready for planting. Not a single rock was visible in my garden last fall, yet today there are literally hundreds. Frost pushes rocks to the surface and since Howell lies in an area of glacial moraines there will continue to be a steady supply of rock.

Hi, Opa! I would be happy to hatch out some of my eggs and bring some chicks to CS. I'll take pictures later, but the little Welsummers are growing fast! They're getting little feathers, and they keep flying out of the brooder.

ETA: Opa, please don't say the word 'wrinkle' around me for a month or so. LOL! I'm approaching my 40th birthday, and it's totally stressing me out!!! My brain still thinks it's a teenager, and my body just isn't complying anymore.

Try adding 25 years to that number and there isn't anyway to avoid that word. I once was in the electronics section of the store and noticed that all of the televisions were displaying a very wrinkled looking neck. Imagine my horror to discover that when I took a few more steps that the neck on display was mine.

Hey all,
Don't know if it's been mentioned at all, but there is a small animal swap meet at the Shiawassee fair grounds tomorrow. I believe that it starts at 8am, at least it has the last couple of times I went. To be honest, it is hit and miss. Sometimes there is alot of people with lots to offer, and sometimes there is not.

I think someone mentioned it Jeff, but thanks for the reminder. It is sponsored by the local 4-H groups, it is from 8-12. We were trying to decide whether to go to that one or Wolf Lake and have decided to go to Wolf Lake this time. Wolf Lake is HUGE, like an 80 acre field, in Kimmel IN, and their are always tons and tons of people there. It is interesting just to go and see all the stuff. Since it is in Indiana, there is also stuff offered there you won't find in MI because our laws differ, like skunks, fox, etc. So it is a lot of fun. It starts at 6 am runs until 1 pm. We are leaving about 4 am, anyone want to go???

Too funny. That would be me running down the e-way trying to catch a critter. LOL but the way my luck is, someone would slam into my truck or Id get run over. LOL I learned a few years ago, not to play in the road.

Welcome Jared ..you'll like this forum. Lots of very caring, knowledgeable people here.

YakLady: We've got babies WOO WOO. One has hatched and 3 more have piped. Gosh they take a long time to come out. Any who, the one that is hatched, OH MY he's a doll. Solid black with a white tux shirt on the front. Im keeping him, would love to have colorful meat birds like this. Ive named him Todd LOL Im actually surprised anything from this batch has hatched. The bator plastic window came off and was off all night and half the morning, the temps have dropped and risen so much I was sure it was all a wash. but looks like I might get 6 of them for sure to hatch. Thank you so much. I love this little guy already. I'll try to get some pictures of him this afternoon when it warms up more and I bring them outside.

A2Sci: I just adore your crested pekins. Im looking for an adult pair if anyone has some. I now need a drake ..seems when the geese came home wednesday, the gander was after my drake, well he's come up missing. No feathers to be seen anywhere. Ive search all I can here I dont know if he followed the geese down below and was captured??? Very sad, poor thing.

Enjoy this beautiful day. Im going out to take Matuse Da Galoose and her duckling companion for a walk to the pond for a swim. If the water wasnt so cold, Id go in with them.

Ha! I just turned 45!......... Happy Birthday a little early!

Opa, glad your feeling better!

So I was just asked to modify a logo! The official breed club for the Cane Corsos, sister club in Canada asked me to modify the logo for their site, so it's the same but different....I have to make sure the logistics are in order to do that... but I was flattered to be asked to do the job!
