Opa..Where or from who did you get your Vorwerk Bantams from? Have you raised them long? I am curious because you do not see them every day. Thanks.

GotChicken? :

Keyt1969, it's very simple:

*You post lengthy articles in this forum subsection about various problems you have or have had about your life, especially concerning your health.

*You post about doing activities that someone with your aforementioned problems would be better off not doing.

*Someone else on this forum who has read about your travails and cares about you offers some advice they think will be beneficial to you.

*You verbally eviscerate that person for daring to question your abilities.

*You post about how you injure yourself.

*Repeat.

Go back and read some of your posts, especially the way you tore into Mom2All a couple months ago. That. Was. Ridiculous. Opa just finally said something about it (and he didn't even say it in a way that was remotely nasty).

You actually question why no one responds to your inquires - they're afraid of what kind of response you're going to give. What you post has repercussions, and people will react accordingly. Just because it's on a computer screen, and not face to face, does not temper the blow one bit.

If you don't like what someone posts in regards to your life or activities, ignore it, or just say "Thanks, but I got it covered.", and move on to happier subjects. Heck, you can ignore me, tear me apart, whatever you want, but there are nice people on this forum that have probably been hurt deeply with poorly chosen words on your part.

No one here has ANYTHING personal against you AT ALL, and I don't understand where these burst of pure vitriol come from.

I may be just a lurker, but I don't want to read that. I want to read about joyous hatchings, playful birds, happy family life, weather curse-outs, and get some useful drive-by advice on poultry and life in general in the process.

I post PLENTY of happy things. Even the things I mention where i get hurt, I laugh it off all the time. At least that's what I thought lol or haha meant! But, I get hurt walking, taking a shower, eating and sleeping almost every day. Guess I should stop doing those things too

I NEVER went off on Kim. That's just silly. I thoroughly disagreed with her, that's all. I have only gone off on one person, but that was during a time I shouldn't have been online at all so I asked Aric to ban me for a week

I guess everyone but me is entitled to an opinion and apologies are only accepted by those in this particular clique!

This is exactly what I've said for months. I have an opinion, but it seems I'm always wrong no matter what. Even if I say something as a joke I get jumped on. Just ask Cricket

Knowing my brother was in the tornado in Joplin...and all those poor people who lost everything and their loved ones, etc- I feel terrible even complaining about the weather...

but...

there is nowhere else for the water to go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My yard is totally a lake now. Everything I planted is under inches of water, the grass seed has floated away, there is NOWHERE for my dogs to poop. lol.

My chickens are on an island of woodchips...but ducks are oblivious to our plight..

maybe if everyone could sing that childhood rhyme at the same time it would stop.

"Rain rain go away...."

I think someone forgot that it is supposed to be "April Showers"!

While trying to get the pool of water off the tarp covering my run, I accidentally dumped it into the pop door and got all by bedding wet. Grrr....

I did in fact sing that and the weatherman promised that the rain would come again another day................Tomorrrow.

I don't mind the rain, it's the mud I'm tired of! It doesn't do any good to put anything in the coops anymore because just hours after we do it's all soaked again from their going in and out!

I do get a kick out of watching the ducks when the rain is coming down hard and they're standing there with their beaks in air like they're enjoying every minute of it! Good news is sun is supposed to come back Saturday. Only drawback is forecast says near 90 by the beginning of the weak. Then again, it'll take at least that for all of this to dry up!

The only entertainment we've had while being stuck indoors today is we're up to 11 hatched chicks so far. BUT, the friend who asked for some of the Australorp and Cochin mixes is getting a divorce and was kicked out of his own family's farm til it's over. SO, now I'm stuck with the chicks. He said it was up to me whether i keep them til he can move back or find homes for them. Looks like I'll be calling my friend I gave 17 chickens to a month ago lol
