my all time fav, rockabilly, Steve Earle is on Austin CIty Limits tonight, so I WON'T be on BYC, see ya's tomorrow.......this good girls is going baaaaaaaaaad

Oh, for anyone interested, I have four Easter Egger chicks up for grabs, about a week and a half old now. Looks like some of the 'araucanas' I hatched are muffed and bearded! Thankfully some of the others in the hatch (from other breeders) came out tufted and rumpless. None of the breeders were on BYC, so no worries about anyone where selling araucana eggs that aren't araucanas!

They all came from lovely sky blue eggs. But since they aren't araucanas, which I want to focus on, to a new home they go! I have them listed on craigslist for sale, but they are free to any BYCer

What type of goats would he be interested in? There is a dwarf nigerian goat breeder in Mayville, MI!

He thinks maybe a nigerian dwarf, but he's not too sure. We've seen that a few people in MI have them and catch a look at flyers people have put up looking to sell theirs. He liked the mini goat that used to be out at Mott farm, he said it was more like a puppy in attitude than a goat and was very playful. Our friend used to have some minis but he decided to stick with boer goats and got rid of them.
If we ever find a suitable place and he feels ready to get goats, I'll likely post here or start an account on backyardherds looking for some. House hunting is a task in itself. We'll either find really good land with a house that's hardly livable, or a great house with no land at all. We aren't in any hurry so it's just a game of wait and see what pops up in the market. If anyone knows of any small farms for sale within 20 miles of Burton (he wants to keep his drive time to work close to the same as it is now), let me know, BF and I might be interested in seeing it.

Yes, but it still requires shipping!

So, I don't get some people. We've been listing stuff on craigslist for a while now and have never had a problem until the last few weeks. This time it's over a nice metal door. I listed it for $20. It was $159 new. We cleaned it up, painted it and with the exception of one almost unnoticeable dent, it looked like brand new. This guy came all the way from Lansing, knowing we were asking $20 for it which was a steal and he offered $6!!! Then he said "Well, not sure if my wife measured it correctly". WHAT? You drove all the way from Lansing without measuring your doorway?

2 weeks ago a woman called who was interested in my oak table and two chairs. It was my grandma's that she bought 2 years ago but only used it for 5-6 months before she had to move in with my dad. She died in April so I've had it for a little while. I have nowhere for it so I put it up on craigslist for $180 or best offer. The girl came here all the way from Lansing after several phone conversations with her about the table. It was almost $400 new and after looking at it and calling her new husband for measurements of their kitchen, she said "Since I'm not sure if it will fit I can offer you $75 for it". Are you serious? I may have said or best offer, but I'm not going to give it away. We pretty much figured they had some scam going on, trying to buy stuff cheap then sell it for a lot more! So, the door is gone but I still have the table. Grrr

Hi Michigan Folks!

We live in Hillman (between Alpena and Gaylord) in the Northeast lower.

We have 10 acres and just started chicks this year. Got our first 10 from the local feed store in late May- then lost one (dog). And got another set of 12 last week (lost 2. One to shipping and one to natural causes).

I saw someone was in Roger City- that is close to me!!! :-D Anyone around Hillman area?
