Hi All!!!
What a beautiful day today turned out to be.

I was able to go out for awhile and putter around and enjoy it a little.
All of the chickens were out and about and of course begging me for goodies. They all know when I say chick chick, they get goodies. Doesn't take them long to learn.
MJ, how many incubators do you have? All those babies around are so fun. Seems like it would be hard for you to give them up!
I keep waiting for our little silkie to hatch her babies out. We have some really pretty colors. Can't wait to see what we will get this year.
Glad to see everyone is doing alright and also looking forward to us all getting together soon.
Does anyone have any Brahma hens they want to part with? Since the stray cat killed the only one I had, I would like to get another one.

Is anyone watching the weather forecast? The NWS is tracking a big storm system that's supposed to dump at least a foot of snow over West Michigan by Friday morning. There may be blizzard conditions along the lakeshore Thursday evening into Friday morning, as well.

Snow is waaaaay over rated. I am more of a spring summer fall kinda person.

BUT!.....I lived in Florida one summer and HATED it. I couldn't wait to get back to Michigan.

Given snow over snakes.....I'll take the snow.

Man, you guys are kinda quiet today!

Got our taxes done and we are getting a refund!

The best part is I got talking with my tax lady and now she wants chickens!!!!

She is going to take some of the mutts I hatched out last fall, and she really wants a polish, she just loves the big 80's hair! That means I have room to get more chicks!

I have got to get it in gear and do my taxes. I was hoping that I would be able to declare my mother as a dependent but I think her income is over the limit by about $700. I know that almost everyone is tired of snow. That brief respite we had last we has blinded us to the fact that spring is still over a month away; and that is just the calendar spring. Spring in reality could be several weeks beyond that. I have turkey hunted in late April and had to contend with snow. Let's just hope that won't be the case this year.

MJ James is in trouble his bottom teeth are lose I wanted to cry we are off to the vet again I believe. I will see the vet tomorrow at the fund raise maybe he will have a plan of action. James was not happy when I gave him a bowl of baby food apples and baby rice cereal

Good Morning all-

My chickens saved the day! Not really, but, well, sorta. Their porch light on their coop burned out. That really was bothering me for the past two days, so I finally went and bought them a new one. Screwed it in, and nothing. So I clicked a few times, checked the connection in the garage- nada.
It took me awhile, but I finally figured out that the circuit was blown in the garage- where our freezer is (with a years' worth of beef, pork, and venison).
So, why? After all this time, is the breaker blown? The answer is simple enough...teenagers.

See, my son plugged a SPACE HEATER in the garage to keep him warm while he was in there, riding his skateboard. Of course, a coat would be ridiculous- as would unplugging the space heater when you LEFT the garage.

Hope you all have a wonderful day- I ordered more eggs. I am getting frizzles- heh heh heh...but I really REALLY need to find some Isa Browns for my brother in law- or comets- or New Hampshire Reds.
If any of you have any of those, please sell me some eggs. He is going to be upset when he asked for NH, and I bring over turkens and frizzles.
