Today is the last day to submit pics for the 2012 calendar. I submitted one just for the fun of it. Now I know you guys have pics galore because I've seem some of them. Sooooo.....submit 1 or 2!! I think it would be cool if a Michigan Chicken won a spot on the calendar!

Correction Sunday is the last day to submit!!

I too get all my cartons from friends and family, even from people that I don't give eggs to. One time I also got about 75 cartons off of Craigslist for free. The lady was a teacher and was saving them for craft projects. I guess I shouldn't say free, I did give her some eggs in exchange.

I submitted one photo just for funs and grins.

My BSL layer must think I'm her rooster. Everytime I go in then run, she comes over and squats so I can bend down and rub her back. She would rather do that than eat.
Poor girl is going to be broken hearted when she finds out I'm a capon.

Ok.... NOW, I know this will have nothing to do with chickens, BUT, I have to vent...

My son started school this year. The bus comes at noon to get him, but they couldn't figure out how to schedule him to get home, SOOO, I had been picking him up. Monday I called transportation to find out when they'd rectify this situation, and they told me they'd get right on it in the morning... Sounds like gov't BS to me... Well anyway, NOTHING. SO, I called again yesterday, was my normal charming self, and they told me they'd get right on it in the morning! I laughed at the lady, and said, I already heard that Monday! I needed it resolved NOW because I was tired of getting out of work and HAULING A** from the South east side of Zeeland to get to the north side of Holland. One of these days I wasn't going to make it cuz I'd be getting pulled over for speeding, or worse and accident. There is no good reason to not have him scheduled. They've had over a week to figure it out. They can pick him up, then they drop him off. SO, they call me back an hour later, they have him scheduled, and will be dropped off on bus 20 at 4:15....

Well, today, I am waiting out there... It's 4 freeking 30! Where is my son! SO I call the school and ask if he is there cuz he's not here... OH, they didn't know he was to be on the bus. Transportation didn't tell them. I was SOOOO PI**ED! They told me they realised he was to be on the bus, and called back bus 24 to get him and bring him home. I tell you... This isn't a poopy little school system! BUT they sure don't know their a**es from a whole in the ground.

Ok. I am done.
