Has anyone heard from Vicki2x2? I was just thinking about her and thought I'd ask. I haven't seen any posts in a long while and hope she's well.

I'm sorry about your car, Nova. I had a similar situation a few months back with my delivery car. I didn't know what was wrong so I pulled over and checked my fluids which looked okay. So I thought maybe it was overheating somehow so I decided to wait a few minutes before going again and had very sluggish turnover so again got out and checked fluids. Way too low. I wasn't going anywhere. By the time the tow truck got to me, the car had lost all its oil and the driver said don't even try to start it or you'll blow the engine. Cause: the oil pressure switch blew.

Hope you find a new car soon.

I saw her at chickenstock this summer. I haven't seen her post much on here though. Sure miss seeing her here.

I won't be able to go to fowlfest but there is supposed to be the last small animal swap here in Newaygo on Saturday. I may see if I can give away the 4 cockerals I have. I have a nice Barred Rock from kathyinmo's stock, two black austrolorps and one olive egger if anyone is interested.

Nova, so sorry for your troubles.

Is there a place there that will give you assistance in getting it fixed or replaced? My sister had to get her car fixed and Love I.N.C. paid for most of it. Also I have heard of some kind of car ministry.

I am going to have to check that out. What sucks the most is I still have 1.5 yrs to pay on it! I hope the car just shut it self off as protective measure. It will do that on its own when the transmission gets hot on those days when its pushing 100 out. Will just shut off and keep shutting off till its cooled of. SO cool. I hope that this is the case once they dig into it. BUT have to come up with MULA in the mean time. I got the car problem temporarily fixed thou. My kids dad is letting me use his jeep while I need to deliver and then he takes it back. SO at least I won't be looking for new employment. I don't want to quit paper business until both my boys are in school...

I had an adorable visitor today! So tiny that some earthworms look like giants comparatively!

The door to run somehow got shut while the flock was out free ranging and they could not get in. I found all but one roosting nearby and carried them back in. One little bantam girl is out there all alone. I can't stop worrying about her. I tried, DD tried but she was not coming out from where she was or is. Morning can't get here fast enough.

Couple ideas - can you put some light out there where you think she is? To keep coons away/? Or a radio? I heard flashing lights - blinking lights is good for scaring predators away.
I would not sleep a wink either............... saying a prayer for you and her! Let us know when you have her back!
