I have two pips!
They are early...but it is so exciting to wait and wait and wait...these are mutts, too, banty mutts so no telling what they will look like!

My favorite kind of hatch!

I just went and did a head count- and I have a silkie sitting on eggs, and also the sizzle.

Time will tell if they stay put. Plenty eggs to put under a broody...theron shipped me eggs today ..

Raz some friends of mine were ice fishing last week and came home with a story about a fish with legs. They had a video and when I looked at it I said, "That is a salamander". We looked it up online and it was a mud puppy. Very interesting and seemed huge!
Mud puppies / water dogs are pretty cool. There used to be a bait shop in Ypsi that sold them several years ago. I couldn't bear to use them as bait.
Grass Roots in New Boston gets them sometimes but I wouldn't want one in my pond. They are voracious eaters.

That's all I remember off the top of my head, I'll have to look up more information. I'm hoping my salamander eggs survived the winter.

ME TOO!!! I am pacing the floor for my chicks!

Mom2emAll....are you the one I gave the showgirl chick to at chickenstock last year? I can't remember who I gave it to and I wondered how it was doing...

Wow, Newton looks a lot like a faverolle! Was he an ee x faverolle? Freaking pretty boy!

RaZ, that's why I got rid of him, my water dog that is... The cost of minnows was getting ridiculous!

I want a bottle baby! Threesomes weeks sweet!

Taprock- that's neat how the coloring is almost the same on our boys.
Nova- LOL. His name is actually Pretty Boy Newton, but that's a lot to keep typing so I tend to shorten it. His sister is Pretty Lady Olive and she lays the green eggs. As for any faverolle, no idea. He's a TSC baby sold as Americauna. Here's a photo of the two of them from this past summer.
