I wish I could have gone with them all to MSU. I have to work though. However I am more than certain that Chicken grandma is going to come back with some seriously helpful information to rival the seriously helpful info i/we can count on from Olive. My jealousy levels are only stymied by the fact that I know I will still get the info even if its second hand.

X 2. I was also wondering what it is.
Is it a rabbit?
On my way to Michigan State to meet up with Snowflake and Farmerboy and QUIZ those VETS!
Wish we had some of you with us - especially some of you gifted in research and health (you know who you are!)
We will do our best to get info, maybe even some that we can photo copy and bring to Chickenstock as hand outs.
:barnie I missed it!! My alarm woke me up for it at 4:00, and I turned it off, and next thing I knew its 7:00!!! I was suppose to meet Snowflake at 6:20 :hit :barnie I have been kicking myself all day for making Snowflake waiting. :he She had went without me, for she did not want to miss the first class. Rather to mope around and waste the day, I had finished cleaning the garage for my mom. She was happy with the results.

I self medicate with cinnamon capsules (blood sugar) and B complex stress tabs(energy), calcium, vit D, (bone loss) probiotics(acid reflux, ibs) and eat salmon weekly (cause I like it).

I take papaya enzymes for my acid reflux, it works like magic!

Maybe next year I will get up the balls to do my own.

Okay, I can't say as I really think this is truly a quote from Betty White, but still...

What is it? An Ewok?

That means you don't drink milk, either? Just curious. I got mine for the eggs. I like to not eat meat if i can help it, but DH is a hunter and loves it, so when he's away i survive on eggs for protein. Shhh!

Nope, we still eat a vegan diet with the exception of eggs from just our chickens. My FIL is a hunter, and he is always telling us about what he shot and so on, LOL. He doesn't quite understand why we're not terrifically excited.

I hope you feel better soon.

Thank you! I had a quite terrible attack this morning, which left me dry heaving, gagging, and choking away between hacking a lung up.

And, you know what? While we're on the subject of natural medicine... While my inhaler helped, it did not stop the attack and gagging, but the homemade chest rub I whipped up the other night? Stopped it immediately. It was awesome!

I use some version of this on my kids whenever they are sick, but this time I may have gone a bit overboard. I pretty much added everything that I generally pick one or two of, but I was so miserable and couldn't sleep at all.

I put some olive oil in a jar, and added to it some eucalyptus essential oil, (many people stop there,) and peppermint oil, then crushed into it dried thyme, basil, and rosemary from last years garden. Mix it all up, and rub it on your chest, or sometimes I just huff the bottle.

Sorry you missed it. :( Sounds like something that would happen to me.

LOL, yes it's a Ewok.. and you guys laughed! Yes it's a bunny laying flat out on it's back, named ewok, well it is called that now anyway!... 6wk old. It's parents are both short haired and I have no idea where the long hair came from, it's the first time this showed up, but it's a sweet bunny and totally passed out in my lap when I was grooming him.

Got a call about Spuds, we're going to visit with him on Sat. he has some possession aggression that will have to be worked through, but I've dealt with that before. I'm trying to get more info on him so we can make a better decision Sat.

I am so mad that my post didn't show up!

I will have to try again later, why the heck does that happen?

Farmerboy16 - That really sucks and sounds like something that would happen to me. :(

Definitely was enjoying the weather here! Started work on a chicken/duck tractor to grow out meat birds in, so I can keep them separate from my layer flock. It'll be nice to be able to slide it to a new place every few days so the birds in it can feel fresh, green grass.

Now I realize that hatching ducks so early in the year was kinda silly! They're nearly four weeks old and despite my best efforts, keeping their brooder clean and fresh is a struggle, even with daily cleanings. Whew, they sure are adorable buggers, though! I just keep trying to rig their waterer so they can't make a total mess. Oh, and they're still in the basement

There is a thread titled "Gloria has 5 toes"... Is it me, or does it look like leg mites? Gloria does have a fifth toe though.

Getting the garage cleaned is always good farmerboy. Let me know when you are up to cleaning mine. Lol.

I went and checked out the new farm and home. I got so mad! There were chicks with out water. Chicks also had waterers that were full of poop and shavings. I informed the manager. Poor things. I did find some things that were nicer priced than TSC. But not much. They had some cool 5 gallon bucket attachments for nest boxes. Think I will try 1.
