Thanks Olive, I hope they figure out the coop situation. Ive been letting them walk out on their own but they cant seem to figure out going back in. Well I mean, they're not even trying, lol. Maybe it's because they're still pretty small? On the other hand...they could figure out how to squeeze though a part of the fence gate (which I have fixed) but could never figure out how to get back in their. Silly chickens.

They haven't been out there very long, they're probably just not homed. Keep them locked up for a week or so. :)

Aww that's sad even though you expected it. You're probably right though, in a way lol...he probably just got so scared of what the hell was happening that he croaked. Too bad! At least there's not a bunny shortage though, haha.

My type-A side would just like everyone to take note that Chicken Grandma FREEZES her sauce. Both garlic and olive oil are no-nos in canning.

That's what I was trying to do originally, starting yesterday since I'm gone most of the day...and then my BF was like "why are they locked in? it's so mean!" So I said, let them out if you want, but I read somewhere to keep them in there for a while to get them used to it. He thinks its cruel, but I told him its way bigger than what they were in so I'm sure they have fun in there! They have food & water so they're fine. He let them out anyway lol. I told him to leave them in there today though, and prob tomorrow & thursday at least. Thanks for the help though, I hope they figure it out.

So true. His mama dug up half my potatoes the first night after I'd found the nest in that bed (can't blame her, but still...) and you can't even imagine how many times I thought to myself how ridiculous it was to save yet another wild rabbit. Oh well, the kids had fun trying, anyway.

Hahaha...what I wanted to do was to make it and then cook it right then, I figured it wouldn't take much other than a little time in the oven. Sounds great for a cool fall day! I would say spring, but right now I'd have to buy all those ingredients instead of picking them out of my garden

The peroxide skunk mix most definitely bleached my dogs hair. (yes I followed the recipe on line) It mostly affected her thick undercoat, not so much the guard hairs. She is a chestnut brindle and she took on a orange cast till she shed her coat.

Lost my little rose, the one that was brooding. Feel like i lost part of myself. Of the hens, there are two that i loved the most, and wanted to keep, she was one of them. I have spent the last couple days caring for her, trying to help her. I had found out that she was constipated, she had not wanted to get off the nest to go. I tried everything to help, but she just didn't make it. I feel so awful, i shouldn't have let her brood at so young an age, i had thought that they were born "knowing what to do".
