Well I did some more yard work in the back. Part of that was moving the fencing around that I use for the chicken run. I made it so they could get to the compost pile which about 5' x 5' and 4 ' high and mostly made of the coop sweepings from winter. Those silly chickens are in heaven. I didn't know that they would burrow!

Usually they come in to roost by now, but they are still excavating for gold. I'll have to go back out in a bit to see if they went to bed.

Seeing them ONCE was tempting enough!

Laura, I had a great time with the kids and grand kids. Had lunch with the grown kids and visited the grand kids on way home. Make a stop at each kids house. Makes for a long day, but want to keep in touch with them all. Loved your chick pics. How adorable that the bigger chick is protecting the lil chick.

Hello I was wondering if there were any Malay breeders in MI? I have a couple bantam malays but I bought them from a dishonest man who said they had no defects but they really had split wing (a disqualification), which I didnt know about at the time. I like showing and would like to do my best to improve the breeds I own, and split wing is nearly impossible to breed out. But I love the malays and would love to find some show or breeder quality birds (or eggs).

Not sure where you are but the is a show in Alma, MI on the 28th. Pretty sure there were Maylay 's last year.

Yeah, sure, I just got back home after a week of work out east. Anyway, the bunnies are too cute! They are all out and about now running and jumping, eating alfalfa and pellets, drinking Mom's water, and imprinting on us humans. I'll shoot some pics in the AM and get them uploaded for you! If you really want one we'll have to figure out how that can happen. I have one set aside for HH also, lol! Anyone else? BTW, I have a black NZ that is about a week along....
