vjwilmoth I'm hoping to get a male from one to pair with Waffles but I really don't need two hen d'uccles. Just let me know!
though i would love to have her, you might want to rethink that. Roosters, especially young ones, can be persistant and wear a hen out. Usually you have at least 2 hens to a roo in a breeding trio, and if you want to minimize feather damage (on her back, which can be balded) you can get a "chicken saddle".

NovaAman And the maybe I shouldn't have, but I did, and IF if need, I will put in a brood box with the above cutey patooty.. 1 splash...
NIce! you do know that to get more blues, you would need to put a splash with a black, and you should get all blues?

Good advise, trios do much better than pairs

I didn't even think of that. See, just goes to show I need you guys. ;)

HH: I am at Ramstein now, I use to live up in where the German, Belgium and Netherlands border came together near Aachen.

If I remember correctly, I spent some time in Ramstein. Don't they have a hospital there? My oldest son was born with a hole in his heart and had to go there for some testing before we were sent to Walter Reed for his surgery.

Olive, cute puppy. I like the name Zip.

Teeville, sorry you lost your rooster.

I am going to let a group out to free range today for the first time since the last fox attack. DH is going to be outside cutting wood and making all kinds of noise so hopefully it will deter the predators. I just hate keeping the chickens cooped up all the time.

Rocket. Those eyes just look like he's thinking about launching himself at something.
Ok, people. Anybody want to help me out? I need name ideas. Male dog, mostly white with black spots, feisty personality, will be high energy. Short name -- one or two syllables -- preferred. Must not rhyme with any herding commands. I'd give you the list we've already ruled out/considered but we don't have the rest of our lives for this one post, so we'll skip that part. LOL!

Kitty? How could you think that is great? That's a horrible name for a dog. Imagine all the taunting he's going to get from the other dogs not to mention people who will think he's a wussy dog. Ack May as well call him Fluffy.

"Here' Kitty, come on home now Kitty. Don't chase the kitty, Kitty."

Naming dogs is extremely important since typically you have them for many years. I allowed Hope to name both of our JRTs, Daisy & Jasmine. They were okay names but I always thought that Kitty would be a great name for a dog.

Just might serve to make him tough. Sort of like a boy named Sue.
