Gosh, that was nothing! That was... sort of frustrating, but also sort of cute, in a take a picture before cleaning it up kind of way. Now, a little later, when I put a short show on for them so I could finish mowing the back lawn so that Nova maybe wouldn't think I was a heathen... Well, I came back 10 minutes later, and the small one wasn't watching the show at all. She was standing on a stool, and on the floor below her?

6 eggs
1 can baking soda
1 canister raisins
1 bag chocolate chips
1/2 tub margarine
1/4 bag chips

I would be one less child after that...

Juise... and anyone else that would like to take a look
I thought you would really like this song and music video
For anyone that has lost someone it is a tear jerker

Just getting home from work..being supervisor sometimes really stinks..gotta work the crap shift most of the time because I dont want to make someone else be stuck doing it when it is so hated.

Im gonna drop and call it a night. Start over in the morning.
RaZ the two ducklings are coming on Sunday- they both hatched...YAY, two will live now. I feel really bad for the ones that have hatched next to Telegraph today. really really bad.

Taprock- the two chicks are doing well. All tucked in under the broody heat thingamajig.

Juise-
at least your kids are little. They dont really outgrow it, it just gets harder to identify WHICH kid made the mess.
There is sugar all over my counter top right now- and I have a sixteen and fourteen year old at home...oh, and a 53 year old.

Sorry if I missed something..oh, RaZ be NICE to my drug- addict Uggos.
And everyone stay away from all chicken jerky treats, something isnt right and animals are getting sick.

Good night all.

Quote: A few years ago I had a baby flying squirrel that one of our barn cats caught. It was uninjured but it was still drinking milk so I fed it and it lived about a week. I still am mad at myself because I now know exactly what I should have done, and it wouldn't have died. It was so sweet and would snuggle with me.

Is there any way to save baby rabbits that have been caught by cats? I know they usually die but our cats must have found a nest because they have cought at least four in the last day. I have one (the others were dead) that isn't hurt bad. I really dont like our current cats.

(these three are probably about 27, 28, and 29 on the list of cats in my life, they usually either get eaten by coyotes or hit by cars)

On a good note, I have another broody hen! More chicks!

You guys sure make me feel self conscious when I post and everyone stops talking...

Anyway, thought I would share what I just finished cleaning up, just in case anyone thought they missed having little kids. I know I should never go to the bathroom, but sometimes I just can't help it!

Juise, cute kids and awful mess. Yes I remember those days, what I would do is wear a diaper and change myself before going to bed,

. No but it's amazing how fast they can get into things.

Alright... I need to reload the page to see all the new posts since my last post, but... figured I'd get this in first... then read.. possibly respond.

I was able to catch the big guys off the roost no problem. They didn't even make a freak out sound. I guess it is a good thing that I was always popping my head in their door and counting, and reaching in and touching for the last few months, they were very easy. HOWEVER! The cockerels that my own broodies hatched... Much more noisy. I caught the first two, with little trouble also, a bit of freak out noise, but nothing bad. I went to catch one from the garage group, and he was on to me.. Jace then set one of the ones I had already caught, a bantam sized guy, free. Said that he was forced to let him go. UM, yeah. Ok. SO, I went and opened up the coop he normally is in, and waited for him to return to the roost. The one from the garage is still on walk about. Got the bantam boy back off the roost, and he set off the "ITS KILLING ME!" alarm, which then set of Roger and Leila, and Mr. Fluffers and a few of the pullets. YOWZAH! They are loud when they are right in your ear. Got him back into the crate, put a wood over the lid this time, instead of relying on the un-trustable boy. Went and snatched the garage roo, got him in and WAHLAH! Six cockerels down. Jace asked me to please not take U.B., so we still have Ugly Boy. I guess that isn't to bad... That leaves three boys to 18 hens, and 4 more pullets that are 2 months old, and then 4 more chicks that are a bit over a month old, 3 chicks that are cockerels that will need to be butchered in August. I am not sure of the sex of the four silkie chicks yet, but regardless, they are keepers until I have the silkie flock built up. But I think 18 mature girls for the 3 boys will be enough. Especially since Mr. Fluffers pretty much only pays attention to his 4 ladies... Roger pays attention to about 3, cuz he is to busy keeping and eye on Leila and her babies. That leaves 11 hens for Ugly Boy to terrorize in his attempts at courtship.. And he frequently gets his fuzzy behind kicked.

I am going to miss the morning cacophony...

So what was she making??

they are so sweet, I'm sure she was trying to help you bake a cake!

Haha, yeah, I was joking to my mom that, if it weren't for the chips, I could scrap it off the floor and bake it.

Kids...

I walked in, washed her, set her down, and walked back outside for a minute before going in and cleaning it up. And I didn't put them in the car, drive to the nearest liquor store, and buy a pack of cigarettes. Ugh. How long has it been? All eternity? I thought so.

Well, I staked out and stretched a new temporary fence today and got all those blasted soaked packets of seeds in the ground today in the two beds I had hoed already, then hoed up more of the "old" veggies beds so I could finally plant all my little greenhouse plants... temporarily.

They are all going to have to be transplanted again, but my dirt still hasn't arrived for the new big garden and it will never be done in time! I can't exactly complain, because I'm getting all 15 yards for free, but... /sigh. At least they are all in the ground now, even if they will have to be moved.

She really is as cute as she looks. Both of them are.

We had a tomcat who would catch rabbits.. FULL SIZE rabbits and eat them. EW, was so disgusting to step out the back door and there'd be a rabbit there, half eaten, but he wanted to share his loot. LOL. Funny cat. He was just gone one day. We have a cat now... she's been gone a few days, anyway, she will catch the birds and bring them in the house when we aren't looking. Nothing like a robin flopping around in the kitchen...

While my on my way home from the butcher, DS was telling me that their first grade teachers came to their class and introduced themselves, and were telling the kinderkids all the FUN things they'd be doing and learning in first. I guess they are going to hatch chicks, and DS asked if he could bring eggs for hatching. They said maybe. Oh, that'd be so cool if they do, and I can collect a but load of silkie eggs for a hatch. HEHE.

Well, I need a quick hose off... And a bed... Have a great night all.

Oh yeah, and I let the kids inside because it was getting buggy out while I finished getting straw down on the beds, and the other thing that was Kataclysmed was a packet of muffin liners... I can deal with that.
