No, no insurance :( DH's stepsister and her dad are going to house them until they figure out what to do. The good thing in all this is they have several dogs, and a cat and a baby, and all made it out in time. Their little chiwawa (sp?) was the one to alert them, pretty much saved the family. GOOD DOG.

Yes, good dog.

Roger is walking around the yard crowing. He has been crowing non stop for the last 30 minutes... Think he's calling Leila?

Well anyway, guess what I just got? Money. Yup. Guess where I am going. Lowes. Yup. Thank you child support. Haven't see any in a while. AND NOW I have a couple hundred bucks! SWEET!

Time to fix the weak spot.

Broiler and Broaster are both BSL (black sex link) hens.
They lay a nice brown egg. Even though both birds are the same size, Broil lays a consistent 55 gram egg and Broast lays a 75 gram egg.
Thanks! I know you told me before... just had a brainfart and couldn't remember!
I am totally devastated. I only have Roger left, and 3 dotte chicks. Leila, her two bio babies, her two adopted silkie chicks... Gone. effen coon got in. I can not find the bodies of Leila or 2 of the silkies, I found what was left of my blue-ish grey, part of one of the blacks and part of one of the goldens. SO SO SO mad! I am burning the **** tractor. I should have known not to build a **** tractor. It didn't dig under, it managed to pull the fencing off on the side. The side that is up against the dogs run too! Its only a 4 inch space there, just big enough a **** coon! The only place I hadn't finished the trim work yet cuz I ran out of wood and didn't have a free pay period again till next week. Thats why I put that side against the dog run... SO MAD!!

Going to set the trap tonight with whats left of my one dot, she's pretty much all there, and play with a .22 in the morning. Roger and his 3 charges are going to stay in the other coop with his first set of kiddos.

No, I am not going to burn the tractor. I am going to make it solid instead.
Ahhhh... What a horrible thing to find!!!! Poor Roger.

Hi Everyone, I am behind 303 posts so I am not even going to try and catch up. To hard with dial up.

I have another Chickenstock question, I am bringing some of my chicks but I don't kinow what they are so how do I sell them if I don't know what they are? Maybe someone can help me thats there. Also how much do I ask per chick?

Are we going to have name tags with are BYC name and our real names? Mine by the way is real.

NovaAman, I hate racoons!! People think oh they are so cute, but the damage one can do to your animals and feeders etc..... is unreal. Sorry about your losing your chickens

Sorry to hear about the losses of homes and flocks. I hope everyone get through it all.

Of all the fishing equipment I have, I think my favourite is an old Zebco rod and reel combination that I bought about 30 years ago. Never had a line snarl and caught quite a few fish with it.

I have 5 nest boxes for 6 laying hens and they want to be in the same one. They have been waiting in line and raising a ruckus all morning long.
