81 in AA so far!

Grabbys family should be very careful about trying to spread their toxic, stupidity here... after all....... we know where they live and we're not on their side!

Raz, let us know when your trial is, I'll try to come.

Have a good day - try to stay cool!

I'm off to buy two new waterers today. How does a waterer break? I have two that will no longer hold water and it drives me crazy!
If they are galvanized they usually lose the vacuum seal I've had my share and some success fixing them. The inner can (outer skin) and outer can (inner skin) may need a good cleaning. If they are ou of round you have to try a correct that also. When you remove the outer can there should be a noticible resistance like a suction cup.

What's wrong with your tiller? If you live anywhere near Muskegon I can take a look see. I know how important a tiller can be. My garden is pretty darn large and between my 5 foot tractor tiller and two garden tillers things get done. PM me if it's something that's doable. John

Just got done watering the landscaping and noticed the temp is slowly rising. For you south of here it's probably already more noticable.

Snowflake: Questions....the plant that you so kindly gave me @ CS, it repels bugs & mesquitoes. Can i put it in the chicken coop? Would it be harmful if one decided to nibble on it?? I can always place outside of the coop if so.

It's 79 here but the humidity is still low but I'm sure both will go up as the day goes on.

I thought the post was out of line but I'm not going to respond to it.

There is another "Pretrial Notice and Order Criminal Jury Trial" scheduled for July 17, 2012 at 10:30 am.

Thanks for your support.

Well, there are a lot of posts here to work thru and I have a Michigan question. I live near kalamazoo and wondered if there was a chicken processing place that you can take meaties to? I don't have any yet but might order next spring. I wondered if there was one that processed without just chopping the head off.

Can you pm me the address to the court house?

DH says it's really made for critters with grasping paws, ie coons, so it ought to be cat proof especially if you only use sweet things like jelly and marshmallows. I suppose you might have a weird cat? But the trigger inside must be pulled to set it off and I don't see a cat doing that. He's even tried pushing on the trigger with a stick and says it just sets it "harder". He supposes it might be possible to catch a possum but really the thing is designed for coons.
Of course, I'll follow this with a question on the duke trap for the coons. I clicked the link and briefly looked at the trap, but is it safe to use if there are other small animals around? I need a trap that is sturdy and that I can easily dispose of what is caught. The last trap was ruined by an aggressive coon. We've had a couple that have shown up rather aggressively this week. We've managed to keep from having any losses until tonight. I'm down one of my BSL hens and am not very happy about it.
How about running a cord and setting up one of those tornado fans to blow it straight back at them? I mean, it's your mom's yard and if she wants to blow air on her fence to keep the paint from melting I don't see any reason she can't.
Yesterday her neighbor was outside grilling at the fence line- filling the backyard with smoke (it triggers my moms asthma- I think they do it on purpose) and I was so tempted to turn the sprinkler so as to water them .....I didnt though. I DID however, accidentally drop and spill the sunflower seeds and peanuts that i was um...that I was eating...yeah, thats it. I was EATING sunflower seeds and peanuts and I accidentally spilled the bags on the ground. Feeding birds? Oh dont be silly, Im much too greedy with my peanuts and sunflower seeds to share them with wildlife on purpose.
Yesterday it hit 91.5 up here! Already 78 outside and it's humid outside. Just taking the dogs on a walk through the woods an hour ago when it was still 70 degrees was hot sweaty work. May put off weeding the other veggie garden at the hunting camp till tomorrow. DH issn't planning on heading there till noon or after and weeding in the middle of a predicted 95 degree day is not the best idea! I don't know why he doesn't do things in the morning when it's cooler. He must enjoy suffering? My favorite hermit is a riddle inside an enigma wrapped in orneryness!

How do you want them processed?

I have used (and I believe Nova too) Kappenga Farms http://www.localharvest.org/kapenga-farms-poultry-processing-M32392. They did a great job and their base price is $2/bird (+ extra if you want them cut up and/or vacuum packed). That is the only one I can vouch for.

Farmerboy, sorry I missed you CS wanted to say Hi, every time I spotted you you were off to some place, nice Emu's

I wanted to see you too, but didn't know what you looked like. :barnie

Good day, Michiganders!  Hope everyone is well & staying cool...sounds like tomorrow may be a killer!  Looks like me and DH (just the 2 of us) will be unloading 250 bales of hay TOMORROW!  ACK!  To me, it's dangerous to do manual labor in that kind of heat!

I had to help unload 3 wagon loads of hay last night with just my boss and me. Started at 8:00 PM and did not get home until 2:00 AM! :th First, I had to help my brother remodel and put in a tub for someone, started at 8:30 am, had to leave at 3:00 pm to get ready to be at work at the Dairy farm at 4:00 pm,left the farm at 7:35, went straight to the hay farm. My hay boss let me to go home at 10:00 to milk my cow, finished milking, and got back at at the hay farm 11:00.
I slept in this morning....

new chicken stock threads have been started, both for up north this year and 2013s. RaZ is going for jury trial. His neighbors daughter came online today to convince us that he is a big jerk with stinky yard and animals and he started it all. It was great. Well... You missed it, I nearly peed myself. Jaime flagged her stalking butt, and now she knows whose side we are on. I got coons buried in back. Daron has way to many eggs in the bator, wynette contributed to his... Addiction. He's also processed a bunch of birds. Um, I think it was Fuzzy who had to put her bunny that was owl attacked down... Hmmm... There's more I am sure, but that's the just of the last few days. Oh, and my sisters surgery went well. CG sent pics of her family in Austria...

I had to laugh when you said about Wynette contributing to my addiction. Her beautiful eggs came yesterday! Perfect packing!  :ya :yesss:
