It's raining, it's pouring, the old man is snoring (well he is, he worked last night). My brown lawn needs help!!
Did anyone see the article about the man that painted his lawn green because his city had a watering ban? I thought it was rather creative.

Keyt..... I would be willing to take a field trip to therons if you wanted to go

Have a good day all.... may it rain all day!!!

So it looks like the lawn won't be crunching for a while after today. May it rain like the radar shows and soak into the ground. It had to eventually rain, right? Just took longer than usual.

I live in montague, yes in a small city that just started allowing chickens so we are sorta new to this have had them for about a year now and enjoy them so much we have Astralorps, Banties, Black sexlinks and Ameraucanas only allowed hens so no chance of getting any babies but we still enjoy the antics of the hens.

Did you tell him you have a sickness? Called Chickenmath? Tell him it is contagious, and he is lucky he seems to be immune?
Really hard to be sneaky when they have to be in a brooder with a heat source...hey! You mean he would notice?
You cant have them on the kitchen table for weeks before he says, "where did these come from?" and you can say, "those have BEEN here"...and roll your eyes?

Just looked at the radar map on the Weather Channel and it appears that a serious downpour should be here anon.

I've got to wake Granny in a half hour, which is at least 3 hours before her normal wakeup time. She has an appointment for a MRI at 6:45. She has been experiencing quite a lot of pain in her right arm and the doctor feels there is a problem with neck that is the root cause of her discomfort. Once he has the MRI results they can be used as a road map to plot a treatment procedure. Got to keep the old girl going as she is already talking about next year's Chickenstock.
Good morning Opa, hope Granny is fine, just a soar muscle or some thing simple, She is such a sweet heart

RAIN Yeah!!!! most of the night and still coming down a nice gentle rain the kind that soaks in,
now the price of hey will most likely go back down, and I bought 6 bales last night....2 on Monday were $3.50, yesterday he had it raised to $5...normally he sells for $2.50 Oh well, I really like his hay it is very grassy and I can use it in the nest boxes as well as on the floor, they like to peck through and eat the grasses and seed in winter.
