So how does a feed recall actually work? I bought a bag of Layena a few days ago and transferred it to a metal container and tossed the bag. How would I ever return the feed for a refund?

Personally, I'm not worried about my hens as I give them a wide variety of food and they are outside all day long. The bag of Layena I bought was the first time I ever tried it.

Pull off the nutrition label before you toss the bag. It'll have the batch number and whatnot. That is easier to keep around until the feed from that bag is used up than keeping the entire bag.

Awww!

Went well! Let me see if I can work this picture linking from the web from my facebook... I think I said something on here before about how absolutely delicious frozen watermelon is? I cut watermelon into popsicle shapes, added a star to each that I made out of freezey pops in an ice mold, froze them, and shoved sticks in them. This isn't a great picture, but they were pretty cute, if I do say so myself, and they were a HUGE hit! And each kid is only ending up actually getting 1/3 a little freezey pop, and some fruit, bwahaha. I'm going to be making watermelon popsicles all summer long.

I ended up taking all the pictures of her birthday party and cake and all that on my mum's camera, so I don't have any of those yet. The girls have been having a lot of fun with the "fairies" and bowling. Oh right, I never put that up. Here's the mushroom bowling set I was talking about. Somehow my mum talked me into making one of them look like a cupcake...

Fuzzy - I love cooking, too. :) For soooo many reasons.
Love this mushroom bowling set and the popsicle idea! :D

- I've come to invite you to please follow the link below and vote for our Historic House colors. We're leaving the final vote to BYCers, and since there are so many of you, I wanted you to also vote if you want. Either take the poll, or just reply with your favorite - THANKS!!)

My husband and I both enjoy cooking, for a while there, before having kids, we cooked together at a restaurant. Which is a different story, and what my point really was, is that, if anyone should ever like to call me "Suzy Homemaker" I would be happy to whip them up a nice, fresh knuckle sandwich. ;)

:lau
X2 on that... I went to culinary school, but I'm no Suzy homemaker!

So glad some of your eggs survived the fall! I will cross my fingers for them. What's this now, party without me? :(

We would never do such a thing.... so I will post what time I'm coming and we meet at Nova's for tea and crumpets .... maybe we should ask her first LOL

:gig :lau

I posted this in the Duck forum this morning, but haven't heard anything, and I don't know how important it is, and I really don't want to worry about my ducklings more than I'm already going to while I'm gone. Can anyone help me out?

I have 2 ducklings who are just over 2 weeks now, and I am wondering...is there anything that I might have around the house that I can give them for grit...i can't get to the store again until we get home from camping, and I gave them peas, not knowing I needed to give them grit too (they are on duck starter feed as well) so what do I do now? Thanks!

Hi everyone.

Excuse me interrupting, but tonight's the last night to follow the link below and help BYC choose the color for our historic home. We want to make sure its one folks will like, so naturally I'm inviting the best people I know to help decide......

Please come vote! Its easy, use the poll, or reply w/your favorite!

I've noticed that my wild re-hab ducklings will often root in the soil. I would hazard to guess that they get some grit from the soil that they ingest.

I didn't see Layena on that list unless I missed it. Will look again though.
