Since I added 2 speckled sussex, from the show, to my flock I have 2 black australorp pullets I would like to sell. Specifically, to someone just starting out. They will be 23 weeks old tomorrow and are beautiful. Their combs and wattles are starting to fill out and I expect them to be laying soon.

Hello everyone!

Our new call duck is so cute! Emily named her Ming-Ming. I call her duck:)

She loves the water and not sure what we are going to do in the winter. Miss_Jayne what are you going to do with all your call ducks?

The mostiquitoes are so bad at our place....worse than this summer! We cannot even go outside without spraying up.

Off to play cards with the kids.

hey Sarah! were you interested in more calls?

well, they all have names too. we went with a theme!
khaki's: snickers and nougat (drake and duck)
white: whatchamacallit (drake)
blacks: godiva and baby ruth (duck and duck)

they have a lovely HUGE dog house and will have their own run. (the handsome hubby i was with handles that, as i am about as handy as a rock.)

as per water in the winter, i will fill them up several times a day in a large oil pan. perfect size for them. they can get their whole head in. as long as they have that, they don't need to swim in winter.

do you need more ducks to eat the skiters? i have one more mutt that needs a home. i think it's a female.

No we don't need any more. One is plenty. Hubby says no more animals.

We just brought the 3 ponies home from my MIL farm(she pasted away in January and my SIL gets the place) so it is easier to have them here than down the road....the joy of family:)

Hubby is running the $$$ to feed them and isn't happy. MIL handled it for the grandkids and they helped on the farm.

Kids are out of the shower so I am really off to play cards now:)

Hi Opa,

Victor is doing great!! He has his own flock of ladies now, 4 hens. The little girl we got from you is still in with a younger group of welsummer pullets and will join them when she is a bit bigger. I decided to cut back to just one rooster because my other boy is related to most of the hens and is the same color as they are. Victor is not related and he is much darker so will be the perfect mate for them. Plus I don't have enough hens right now to justify two pens.

I just put 6 of his girls eggs in the incubator so I have Victor babies on the way!!

Hello everyone,
I had six BO eggs in the bator and on the 7th and 14th day I candled and there was only one fertile. I saw lots of movement and I am hopefull it will hatch healthy.
I cracked the eggs open and saw nothing that looked like they were fertile like on the fertility threads.
