Morning all,
Craziest thing happend yesterday, I went to go return a pair of pants at the mall and there were group of people sitting infront of the door saying were closed! Okay, it was pretty clear they were since the parking lot was pretty empty (Which is not usual at 7:30) and then we see on the news later there was a fire in the food court! LOL bet it was the chinese place

Good Morning everyone!!!
It sure looks bright and sunny out there today. Hopefully I will get a chance to go out and get a bunch of stuff done.
We finally got our lawn mower fixed so that we can mow the yard. Heck it almost looks long enough to bale!!!
MJ, that baby chick is so cute!!! Do you have all of your breeds in different pens?
The coffee is going the grandkids are off to school and everyone else went back to bed. Such a nice quiet time.
I lost one more litte silkie. It got in the water and couldn't get out. I had forgotten to put a smaller dish in there for the little ones. It was so cute with a little top knot. We learn by our mistakes, but , I feel bad for the little one.

Chickenpal...right now the Rose Comb RIR's and the White Leghorns are separated. The others will be soon. Doing one coop at a time.
Boyd...hope your daughter's ankle feels better. i got some good advice once about reducing swelling in the ankle. place ice behind the knee. it works wonders.

Vicki...vkulesh's geese are really nice. i have two of them running around the yard that i hatched out of his eggs. they have good fertility.
okay, now the weird thing of the day. i looked up and saw chickens and a turkey hen running like they were on fire towards the neighbor's yard. the turkey was making all sorts of crazy noises. of course i am thinking, 'Oh my gosh, stay home!'.
ran out to see what was going on. stray cat in the yard. they chased it off! the turkey hen ran to me and was cooing and squatting. she did a good job. watching over her flocks! that Buttons. always helping out!

Sure is a pretty afternoon. I wish I could just sit on the deck and read a book and enjoy the day. Instead I need to mow my lawn and work some more on the chicken tractor. I do have to put eggs in the incubator. I'm starting to get low on chickens. Yea right. Seriously, yesterday I got a dozen black copper marans eggs and I has a few Welsummers so in the go.
I meet Michelle this morning in Lennon to give her a trio of Welsummers for her friend that lost her entire flock to weasels. Rose came with her so it was great to finally meet her. Then to top of a great morning Michiganwoods and her cute little daughter came to get some lavender ameraucanas from Michelle. Sure made for a great morning.
Well no one has knocked on my door offering to do any of my work so I guess it falls to me.

trying to put onions in, but the weeds are so bad, so i have to wait until the hub rotators it.
MJ that is scary when you see your chicks running, like that, we had a hawk flying around yesterday, so my dog Jack was protecting the chickens, he would bark every time he fly over.
well going back out to pull more weeds.
MJ the count down has began for my girls, for when we come out to see you

i think even my hub is excited to see the ducky's when we get to bring them home.
though were still working on the house, we didn't get enough wood, but the fence is up and the bird fencing on the top so no one can fly down in on them
