cristy17,
I even think theres something up with people that work at the post office, I sell chinchilla supplies on line and in the last 6 months, 8 box's of supplies have, have disappeared, 5 of those the people just get a empty box. whats wired is the box isnt crashed or any thing. and i make sure when the order its taped up really good, and they keep telling me i must not be taping up the box good,

and i know its taped up good,
so i go UPS now.

Morning. It rained here, but we didn't get the storms like some of you. Hope there were no losses for anyone. Got some regular bread and cinnamon swirl bread proofing. Figure the cinnamon swirl should make yummy french toast tomorrow morning! Think I'll hit some more garage sales today. Oldest daughter has a birthday party in town. Give me something to do for a couple hours. Then it is off for a date with my hubby. Yay! It's been awhile! So funny cause then all we talk about is the kids.

Finally got the coop cleaned, moved the roosts up and devised a better way (I hope!) to keep the chickens from flinging shavings into the water. All done with the wind blowing and gusting. Thank goodness for dust masks and goggles - and no neighbors to see how ridiculous I look in a dust mask and googles!

Good evening all, trying to catch up... ( a little hard lately) I lost my little Angus on Wednesday. Found him dead on the coop floor. I am not sure, but I think I did it.

you see on Tuesday, I was home all day, so I decided to let them out to free range awhile. He came right after me. I knocked him for a loop and thought I had killed him right then. I went over and picked him up. he was very calm. I held him a few minutes... then let him down and he kinda limped a bit. but by the end of the day he was walking fine and crowing. got up to roost ok and everything. He was fine Wednesday morning and about 7;30 that evening. went to dinner, came home about 9;30 and found him dead. I feel so bad. I have never knocked anyone for a loop before. I wish I had just picked him up. On the upside...I do have little broody sitting on some of his eggs. looks like two of them are good. Maybe I will get an Angus III. (but I think I will change his name if I get one) I am thinking that the name is not a very lucky name for those little bantam roos.

I am sorry about Angus. I nearly killed one of mine the other day, stepping into the coop, she darted under my feet. It can happen so fast. That doesn't make it any easier, I know. I hope your eggs do well.

Freebie so sorry about your Angus,,

Hey Patti - I like your color choices in pets! I have a tuxedo kitty and a black and tan piebald dachshund that match my silver laced wyandottes quite nicely. I hope everyone has a great day - weather looks fabulous, even though a bit chilly NO RAIN!
