We're located in White Lake. We fed all of our meaties the Purina Show Chow and our feed store is charging 18.95 a 50 lb bag, how crazy is that, that our food bill was ~$250 by the time of processing?

If I do a search for grain elevators, since Purina is the only feed we've used in the past, what is the min/max protein % we need to use? I want to save money but I don't want to loose quality either.

I also have a Rainbow flock, I have 3-BA',3- GLW's, 3-BR,3- EE, 2-SLW, , 2-Seabright,4- some type bantams, 3- Silkies, 2-WR, 1 Wellsumer, 3-sexlink, 1 light Barma

and 3 Rouen x magpies, and 3 Black east indie ducks

and 3 Pure Rouens that i need to find a home for any one interested they are free they are about 3 months old

you are welcome! he is hilarious! i went there this weekend and of course i saw other people i knew there. he was cracking up.

i just love the feed and the way my birds get the great color in their plumage.

we even pick feed up for people who live really far. Catray44 drives all the way here to get it. (2.5 hours)

it's just great!

Thanks Miss Jayne for the information; I'll be going there this week. I'd like to stop by sometime and meet you, we used to go to Columbiaville years ago to watch the boat races, you're probably an hour away, not too bad.

LauraSBale, thanks for the reply, I go to Highland Feed now and I love the people there but we need to lower our feed cost. We figured we need to lower our cost by 1/2 to bring our cost per pound to something reasonable. We'll do that and more by driving to Lapeer.

Good Morning everyone. I have been up for a long time, but I will have a very busy week. Bible school and between my kids, cousins and a couple friends kids I am transporting 6 boys back and forth this week. The quite in the house is kinda nice though.

Day 19 today on my second batch of eggs. Took out the turner and candled the 12 wellie and 4 pheasant eggs and only had 4 wellie eggs that developed.

Hopefully on Wednesday we will have 4 new little fuzz butts.
