We got 2 midget white turkeys and 2 heritage from MJ. Only 1 of them turned out to be a male - a midget white

We were really hoping for a male heritage. Darn! We just love the males and were hoping to get a set and keep them. We may end up keeping the male white midget and a female heritage just to have a set for now. If they breed is that a bad thing to hatch out their eggs?

I'm no turkey expert by any means...there's only a few of those here on BYC. But I would think it would kinda fall along the same lines as breeding a banty roo to a standard hen...not too successful.

Good Morning!

Gearing up for the Fair. Livingston County's Fowlerville Fair starts on Saturday Cannot wait for an elephant ear!!!! Would love the cinnamon rolls, but that vendor retired. Miss the rolls early in the morning on show day.
I did bike 9 1/2 miles this morning...so I can have the fair food next week

Nope...gotta give those little guys an "A" for effort!
The rooster in my avatar has a harem of 11 standard ladies...and he just tries his best....to no avail of course!

The ladies just look at him as if to say "Whatever!".

LMC: keep the meaties on the 24% the whole time and you will have excellent results. they will grow well.

chickflick: you are right! i didn't bake you anything! see, i am losing my mind! hey! i finally got the bushes and hostas trimmed up though! and you did get to see the undies, you're right!

did i miss anything??? i don't know, i feel woozie....going to see Staples2485 later tonight! have a turkey poult delivery for him!
