Congrats on the new arrival grandpa.

They certainly are a blessing!

Well we managed to get to the William Beaumont hospital in Royal Oak to see Uncle Greg. His appendizx ruptured and the Dr. said another hour and he'd not be here.

Alon our route we went through Fowlerville, Howell, Taylor, back across 94 through Jackson, Springport, Eaton Rapids and home.....gave a wave to you all as we passed.

Glad to be home, I ain't much for big citys or snowy roads. I guess I've had my quota.

Steve, do you live in Charlotte? That's where I'm originally from and we call it Chartucky........just wondering.

Sure is, we also call it Charkansas.

Where abouts did you live here in Chartucky?

David and I went out of a bid this morning. Unbelievable the number of drivers we encountered who had completely forgotten how to drive on snow after only two days of not having snow. Watched one guy coming around a corner. David pulled to the side of the road and stopped, stating "he's not going to make that turn". Sure enough he couldn't. Came around the corner with his vehicle at a 45 degree angle sliding thru the intersection. He only missed us by mere inches.

Sam, as we were coming into Howell, right there by the factory outlet store there were 3 cars in the ditches.

I told Judy that this is where you lived as we went through Howell, and she said she loves to go to Specialty growers, I suspect you've heard of it?

Good Morning all-
Congrats Sam- I tried to see the babys picture, but it tells me it 'cant be found'- where did it go? My grandson is three months old now.

I have been up for three hours. Insomnia, I suppose. Why not- at least I am never boring.

I had my cat neutered and declawed yesterday. I never declaw and I do not like it. My five other cats are not declawed. However, this kitten has cerebellar hypoplasia. Which means his coordination is off forever, and he is slightly brain damaged. He stumble/fall/hop walks from place to place. Falls on his face a hundred times a day. Sweetest cat ever, gives kisses all the time. Its his obsession. Well, he slaps me in the face to get me to turn my head. Does it when I am holding him and he does it when I am sleeping. His coordination is bad, so he has hooked me in the eyelid once very badly (got his little claw stuck) and scratched my lip open about ten times. So I felt it medically necessary.
We had to pull his top two canine teeth also. They were chipped and cracked from him falling on his face on the hardwood floors. So, my kitty is a mess. I have learned that the brain damaged kitties do not recover very well. I didnt leave him at work, he cant be confined- he goes crazy in a panic. So, I recovered him here. He flipped out, crashing through the house- so I have kept him drugged. I gave him an injection of buprenorphine at 3 a.m. however, and he is now mellow- and actually ate some breakfast.

Hope you all have a wonderful day. I am hoping that when the sun comes up, all the snow is gone- and that it is a wonderful spring morning.

Glad to see the chicken coop is coming along. A friend of mine gave me 5 expansion kits for Royal vinyl storage barns. The walls of those come in 12" wide planks that interlock. I wound up with 40 5' pieces and 40 7' pieces. There are no corner since they are for expanding an existing shed. I've got to sit down and see what kind of coop I can build using these. Just what I need, another coop which will mean that I will have to get more chickens. The problems for old guys never end.

Schultz is my maiden name, and my dad grew up in Chester........ most of the family is still around there....... we come to visit often

Just found out my youngest son is coming in from Missouri for a few days so I think that I'd better get busy and make some pizzelles. They sure take a lot of eggs to make. Fortunately the girls have been cooperating lately. The only problem with making them is that I make one, eat one, make one, eat one. That method will require a lot of time in the kitchen to make a quanity sufficent to share.

Good morning everyone!! and I mean good morning. Hubby was just talking about maybe, just maybe getting an incubator so that we can hatch some duck eggs!!
