Hi All!!!
It is still a beautiful day with the sunshine, even if it is cold.

Something about the sun makes one feel a little better anyway.
Hope all goes well with Vicki!! Praying for you too:love
Our chickens are laying well now and I can't find anyone that wants any eggs!!! My kids are swamped with them. So, everywhere I go I will be giving away eggs.:t
We are thinking about putting our big dog down. She is 10 and has had this problem for about 3 years. She is just a mutt, but has already cost us a mint in vets. We have tried so many different ones and no one has been able to help her. Since we don't have much money, will have to decided what would be best for her. We have had her since she was a puppy.

Tomorrow I go to the cancer specialist for his findings and a biopsy. Means I have to get up in the morning.
We used to live in Newaygo also. On Pickeral Lake. We have relatives in White Cloud. So we are familiar with that area also.
We brought our little silkie with her 6 little eggs in the house last night.

It's one of the hardest choices to make.. I've been there more than once and it never gets any easier.

But in a happy note you will have to post pics of the chicks when they hatch!

My welsummers have started laying regularily so I will be putting them in a separate coop so my rooster will only have them to breed. I would think that 2 weeks alone should be sufficent to insure that all are bred and the eggs fertile. I will be contacting those to whom I have promised eggs as they become available. The eggs are either the speckled dark terra cotta or a lighter brown but heavily speckled. They are darker than they appear in photos

Hi all! I am home!! Took a nap, had some food, feeling pretty good, sore, but good! The procedure was of a delicate nature and you know us women, we prefer not to tell!

Steve, congrats on the facebook page!! I just started one a few months ago, don't do a whole lot with it, but connect with a bunch of relatives and some friends. Most of the relatives are my younger cousins. Don't feel bad about the mass mailings, I think it is awesome to be able to talk to other adults on the computer. It seems most of my family is in the dark ages and can barely email and they only do that once a month or so when they get on!

Vicki, I am glad to hear that you are doing well. That's all the information I need. What ever it was is taken care of, you are doing okay, and now things are on the way to being right in your world. What better news could we want?

Still trying to find a place to have chickens. We are trying to sell our house and move to a small piece of property but need to sell the house we are in first. We will get the chickens started this spring hopefully.
